I'd like some help from the French speaking Canadians on the board with a minor issue.
I've got a new defenseman on my team who is a native of Quebec. His English is pretty decent, but I'm pretty sure he's translating in his head whenever I talk to him. This is especially evident when I'm giving him directions during a play.
I took French classes (many years ago) so my pronunciation should be good enough, but it's the vernacular I want to get right. I have a few key phrases that I use during the game that I want help with.
Here goes:
- Man on
- Skate with it
- Up the boards
- Screen
- Take the shooter
- Let it through
- Nice goal
- Nice shot
Thanks guys!
Ryan
