Anybody use Inversion to stretch out for hockey?

My wife and I just bought a "Teeter Hangup " on HSN. I have some minor back issues. Started as a herniated disc 4 yrs ago but is now muscular. I like to go to the pool to stretch out before games but can't always fit that in . It came today and I tried it out for the first time tonight. Got to ease into it so it may take a while to start to feel the benefits. Anybody have an experience w/this. I figure it can't hurt.

I can hang inverted like that as long as I want; my back is fine with it. I just don't like the vascular effects.

(And I've singlehandedly disproven the myth that if you fall out of an airplane head-first, all the blood rushes to your head and kills you. )

You should consult your orthopedist on what you should and shouldn't do to your back...
