In short split-season is half year midget so HS players can play competitively until the HS season starts and this is done so people don't "commit" to full year teams then leave halfway through

In my past teams that have been split season they did this if your team makes it to states.

For CHC, the states and NE regionals are in November. Then if you win states and regionals your team will play in the nationals in April.

I see, you gotta give the full year midget teams time to finish their season and qualify I take it. Well maybe with MF cause they make it every year, do their 2 or 3 teams make it? I'll be playing them except at the Major level

I don't play with MF anymore(i don't know how to change my profile), but i play for Southern minor 1 at the tier 1 level. For CHC(Connecticut Hockey Conference) the split season teams have states in November and reagionals are like a week later in November aswell. then kids play high school and then come back for nationals if they make it in april. I don't think that there are any tier 1 CHC teams that play full season, all the other full year midget teams arent tier one and don't compete in the tournament in November. As for the minor 2 and 3s, they don't compete in the tournament because each program is only allowed to send one team to the tournament, and each program obviously sends there 1 team which is the top team. The 2 and 3 teams just play other tier 2 teams i think. Hope that helped.

I see. Well the Falcons U16 full year plays MF and a bunch of mass teams. Hopefully my U18 will be tournament bound. We have a few kids from Fermi that are good and there are some from Cathedral in mass. Its going to be a LOT better than having rely on cracking the politics of CT Selects to ply on minor
