The Fundamentals are just that, basic skating and positioning according to Ian Clarke. If you are an Ian Clarke advocate - which I am - this is him putting his well written materials into video format. Each skill has a supporting drill or two that emphasizes the skill he is teaching. There is no rocket science to this, just good, solid, proven techniques.

The Advanced builds on the Fundamentals and gets more into conceptual stuff including reading plays and advanced positioning technique.

I liked them, others might find it a little less helpful; to each their own. If you follow the program you will learn an easy to follow [and implement] 'system' of play...

Wellsie

Main thing I'm looking for is more information on breakaways, recoveries, power-legs, and rebound control. Could I find it in these DVDs or would I have to look somewhere else?

If you are looking for a more technical skills video these will not be all that good for you. I would suggest Keeks' DVD's or perhaps that new one that was posted in the Goalie Heaven thread...
