My first time through was very disappointing too. It is common. Come back tomorrow and give what you've got, and then give a little bit more. Next time around it will be easier, that I promise.

As Tony says at the end of Chest/Back, keep putting the disc in, keep pressing play and keep bringing what you've got and forgetting about the details.

Can I replace Plyometrics with Cardio

I wasnt able to finish Plyos last time I tried it. I understand I wont get the same results by tweaking the program. But I want to at least be able to finish.

Never tried. Although in the video he says if you're not ready for Plyos, do the CardioX disc.

I've got plyos tomorrow too.

I'd seriously try and push through the plyos. Take 2 minute moving breaks so you don't get stiff but you can catch your breath. It's not as hard as it seems if you just shut your mind off and go.

Exactly. The demands of this program are mostly mental. Don't get me wrong, it is physically demanding, but it is more mental to be able to push through the pain and the fatigue and keep plugging along.

You have to be in pretty good shape in order to do P90X to begin with. It's not for chumps that is for sure.

If you're in OK shape it will take you to a place that is much better than when you started off. If you're already in very good shape, it can take you to the pinnacle of what your goals might be.

I did the P90X program last summer, and got great results. My performance in games really improved. My movements became much crisper and faster. My recoveries and second effort saves were also much faster, and impressive.

After I was finished the program, my performance began to decrease. I kept it up a bit by trying to fit in the legs and plyo routines, which helped, but still not as good as doing the complete program.

This summer I've started the program again (currently week 9), and my performance on the ice is better than it has ever been.

When I'm done this time, I plan on continuing the program, but I'll work it around the winter hockey season. If I'm too busy, or have a game that night I might push off the exercise to the next day.

I'm interested in the P90X Plus routine, to change it up, and get stronger. But my question is what is the schedule like for the Plus program? Do you take some of the days out of the P90X program and replace it with some of the Plus routines? Or does it have it's own schedule?

BTW, I don't follow the diet plan at all. I could probably get better results with the diet, but I like to eat what I want and when I want. I still look and feel great without the diet, so I'm happy with that.

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOA

Finished Plyos today.

I took leaferguys advice, sort of. I dont know how long my breaks were, but I would just pause it when the water breaks would start, go inside, get a drink and come back out and stretch for the remaining 30 seconds.

I don't feel it too much right now, but thats the same thing I thought about Chest & Back, and I definitely felt it the next day.

I just know that if I walk away, I ain't comin' back

Side note: Oranges are great if you find you're spiking and crashing during the workout. I keep a plate of orange slices nearby.
