Aside from wanting to punch Tony a couple of times, I really love this program so far!
I would have never given it a second look if it weren't for recommendations from Keeks (and results) and yourself sloth! Thanks!

I'm worried that you might burn out doing doubles first. Based upon your fitness test numbers you might not...but that is pretty hardcore to start....You'll surely get faster results doing it that way.

For the first 4 weeks it is identical to that of the Classic program. So I'd hope in that time frame, I'll work out any muscle group that I would have been out of shape in. I know it's going to be demanding, but I'm one of those gluttons for punishment.
I am also not completely following the nutrition diet, as I find it near impossible myself. But I am being more nazi aboutmy portion sizes. Drives my mom insane! Being from a greek family, if you take a small plate instead of a big plate, it's like slapping your mother in the face

My father's side is jewish. My in laws are italian...nope...I know not what you speak of...
I came to a conclusion to day. I am not going to drop much weight. I am down about 12-15lbs. I suspect I might lose another 10 tops. Which will be great, don't get me wrong. But I think that if I wanted to get down to 175 as intended, I needed to do the LEAN program. I simply don't have the time in my life to do the doubles.
Not to sound like a braggard or anything of the sort, but due to my days of very serious training I still have a lot of muscle mass underneath the lard and that will keep my weight rather stagnant. Granted I am just over 1/3 of the way into it...so a lot could happen...but I aint holding my breath. Seeing what I am seeing in terms of definition of muscle groups...I sorta wish I wasn't too shy to do the Day 0/30/60/90 pics as the difference is rather obvious.

One thing you might want to consider is on the leg days, doing a double. Meaning on Plyo day, do it in the AM and PM, same on Legs/back. You could also add in some dryland training of some interval sprints, as well as hill sprints/plyos, maybe on day 3 or day 7 is my best guess.

Are you guys currently playing at the same time? I mean like 3-4 times a week playing? I stopped training this season and while I have more muscle energy I lack the cardio.

I have never played more since college. I am currently sporting 4 teams and have 3-4 games a week right now. I do a lot of double headers too, plus volleyball on Weds nights.
It has been quite beneficial too, for example last night's double header. With the heat in the rink I never would have made it through and I think I managed to keep my hydration in check as well due to the conditioning level that I am maintaining due to the workouts.

Excellent news then. Was there a wall to break through first to get over the fatigue in games?
That has been my issue in the past. Right now I feel very loose, nimble and quick but like I said above I gas out from the lack of cardio.

For some reason I've been a slow starter since my conditioning has been better. But there was no perceived wall for me. As stated in the past, I have maintained a reasonable fitness level to perform in games, but it is much better now. But my hydration issues have improved with my conditioning and my recovery is much, much better so any break in the game of 30 secs or more for me is enough time to fully recover.
I am toying with the idea of getting a HR monitor to track what goes on during a game in terms of peak and median ranges to see if I am working hard or dogging it during games to try and save some in the tank.

That is huge. I have lost that. There is no way currently for me to play two games back to back with my lack of training recently. I will need to work towards a middle ground again.
I am curious about the HR levels. Let us know how you make out with this

Congratulations! I am in the beginning of week 12. It gets easier...never gets easy but it does get easier. I remember my first two days. I could barely walk and my abs were killing me! Stick with it. Its tough but it really gets you in good shape.
