Having troubles glove side

I seem to be having troubles on my glove side, and sometimes blocker side. I feel like i have isolated the problem, just not sure what approach I should / can take to solve it. Basically If i have a player taking a shot towards the edge of the pipes - I sometimes get scored on only to find that I didn't fully extend my glove hand or blocker. Usually glove side though. I'll find that i moved my glove to the right height, but my elbow is tucked in to the side of my ribs, as if i'm trying to close the gap between my arm and my torso if this makes any sense.
Anyone else ever experience this problem and have some advice? much appreciated!

It seems like you're reaching for the puck without watching it all the way into your glove. I had the same problem and still do it sometimes.
Try moving your gloves more in front of you. That closes the gaps between your arm and body, makes it easier to watch the puck into your glove, and you don't have to reach as far to get the puck. So instead of having to fully extend your arm out to the side and making a difficult save, you can reach out in front your body and make an easier catch.

Yeah, id say move your hand out a little more as suggested but, also, if you naturally only extend your arms a little and cant shake off doing it, why not try and challenge a little more.

Narrow down the angle and you wont have to fully extend.

Either that or work on getting quicker feet and shuffling into the catch maybe?

I think the not watching the puck into my glove is precisely the problem. Never considered it until you mentioned it. I tend to have the same problem when I play football with buddies, sometimes I know the football is going into my hands, so I take focus off and worry about where i'm going once I make the catch -- which then leads to a nice drop of the ball haha

I have been trying to keep my glove more out in front of me but i'm not sure if I"m doing it right because it feels awkward at times. Here is a description of what i'm doing with my glove hand; Often i'm trying to keep my glove out in front of me, with the face of the glove basically parallel to me, picture the palm of my hand/glove facing down ice. Is this a mistake? Often I see goalies with their gloves in front of them with the palm/face of the glove angled off instead of being parallel with their bodies, which leads me to believe I'm going about this practice of keep the glove in front of me incorrectly.

If my descriptions aren't clear I can take a picture of how I hold my glove for critique. Thanks so much for the suggestions however, I have a game this thursday so I'm going to try to focus at following that puck into my glove, sometimes though I have a hard time tracking the puck to my glove on a really quick shot...I imagine that is just going to take seeing shot after shot to get my reaction time up.

Number one: Always move with the puck. If the puck is going glove side, shuffle or slide the same way the puck is going while following it with your eyes.
Number two: Keep your wrist up. Back in the days, goalies all had their gloves down (http://www.paintbydoma.com/images/tthomas1024.jpg). Why? Because they thought going from down to up was faster than up to down. Now, goalies keep their wrists up. The difference is that instead of moving your glove in a circular motion, you will move it in straight lines just like people hold their baseball gloves.
