My plans ideally to stay in shape?
Bike to work everyday
Follow p90x to a T.
Play ball hockey twice a week, ice once a week.
Tennis once a week.

Realistically, (due to time and energy) what has happened so far:
Biking to work 1 to 2 times a week.
Following a self modified version of p90x
Ball hockey twice a week, ice sometimes 1 a week.
No time for tennis yet

In August, I hope to throw in some team conditioning training as well. But we'll see.

Kettle bells are the greatest thing I've found to stay in shape. You can do virtually anything with them, and they provide a great cardio work out as well. I try and get into the gym and do a workout any time I don't get a sub gig or play golf.

P90x and roller hockey!

Banning beer and some dairy queen blizzards should help too!

I do a different program every off-season, just to keep things interesting. I always gain a little bit gradually over the winter, and need to burn it back off again before the start of the season.

Last year I did P90x, and it was as good as the hype for strength and cardio conditioning, but I didn't physically get in shape in terms of fat loss and muscle gain as I have with other programs in the past.

This year, I'm doing TNT. I just finished reading the book, and it's actually pretty close to the program that I put together on my own a few years back when I lost over 50 lbs, so I'm thinking it should be pretty good (for me at least).

I was going to play hockey every Tuesday, Wednesday, and 2 games Thursdays. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I was going to head to the gym.

Since I injured myself - I've done ZILCH, ZERO, NANA

I'm going to change that next week. Even with no hockey, I'm heading to the gym and working on my upper body since I have this leg injury. Should be fun. I'll be nice to get back to the gym again after a 2 week hiatus.
