Drills for Bantam goalies

Ok so I am a goalie coach at a hockey school and the other day the boss comes lby and says next week you have 3 Bantam goalies who are "A" and I expect good drills.

I have never worked with kids this old before so I dont have a good set of drills the will challenge them.

They will have 1h of skating, usually a length of ice or a face off dot.

Then a 15 min 1:1 with me with a "zone" pylons nets pucks, deflection board.

Then depending on the day another 1:1 15 min time.

So any drills or suggestions would be great.

the drills you use for older goalies tend to be the same as some of the ones for pee wee and high level squirts... just turn up the tempo, make 2 to 3 moves per drill no more than that, and add shots when needed.

crease movement at that level is very important, check their skating, stance, and recoveries. use of stick is a good topic to cover, you would be suprised to see how many high level goalies who are pee wee and bantam and some midgets who cant deflect a puck to a corner.....

ooh but they are big and can butterfly well..... thats most excuses you will hear.

work on this and incorporate your drills with them

movement drills definatly.give them some good drills and tell them to do many repitions during practice and stick & pucks.also,id say that multple shot drills where they move while down.this is coming from a bantam goalie, and i know what challenges me.

i am a second year midget goalie, so wat i wanna see in drills to improve my game is similar to wat those kids wanna see.

ALL REFLECT GAME SITUATIONS
Work on Angles (moving off of post and squaring up etc)
Shot Prep must be aloud
NO RAPID FIRE DRILLS, these only teach bad habits
Movement, we hate doing it but movement with no pucks helps
Breakaways only as fun, this is a skill i feel i had to develope on my own
NO RAPID FIRE DRILLS again
Drills for Reaction
Drills for Blocking
Rebound drills
Ouck "Pursuit" type drills (following a player from behind the goal line out across the slot, keepin in psition for a shot at any time etc)
Screen Shots (make sure not to just be sniping, take shots that would be taken if a screen were in place)
NO RAPID FIRE DRILLS

yea, theres a good criteria i think

Wink Bantam drills

I'm surprised no one sent you to the Hockey Canada website. Go to the main page and you will see a pop-up for goalie drills. They are ranked by age and by experience level.
