i totally yell screen when the shooter has a bad angle or to force a shot quicker than the probably wanted to shoot. it works quite well.
one thing that do that i suspect is not quite normal is i will yell out ... 'Hey batter batter batter... Hey batter batter batter... Swing!'
like we did when i was a kid playing baseball. that really tends to throw them off, at least once.
i will also yell 'Shoot!' when i see a guy staring at the puck on his stick instead of at me.

I talk a lot, when I'm on my game. I try to keep it as simple (1 or two words) and easy to understand as possible since it's hard to understand through the mask. I've found that 1 or 2 syllables work best, if you can swing it. Some that I use that I didn't see here are:
"Hard around" - If I want my d to ring it around the boards
"Stay home" - If I want my d to pick up a guy in the near slot or if I want him not to chase the puck carrier into the corner or behind the net.
"High" - Someone's in the high slot.
"Nice Out" - Thanks for clearing it.
"Get a look" = "got time"
"Out!" - Don't screw around, just clear it.
"Pick somebody up" - when things get scrambly or I can see the other team's guys wide open.
"Loose" - If I can see that the puck is loose after a save at the other end.
I, like some of the others, never yell "screen" or "can't see". If it's my D, then I'll try to gently but firmly steer them with the catch glove or back of the blocker. Usually, they know it's me since I'm the only one supposed to be behind them.

theres alot of talk about being screened and if u should say it or not. if im screened by my own player and he is pretty close to me were i dont have to scream really loud ill say his name and get out of the way/ screened.but if im being screened by the other team and hes close to me, what i do is i push him out of the way with my glove hand, i dont slash him or hit him with my stick cause i want my stick to be in place and i dont want to let up a bad goal cause i was slashin someone when my stick should have been on the ice. if im being mid zone screen, i just get square to the puck get in a deeper stance more knee flex and i just keep moving my head until i get a good vision of the puck. i dont move around cause i dont want to loose the squarness to the puck. and if theres a shot i dont see i just try to make my self as big as i can. but at any rate thats what i do on screens
kinda went a lil off topic as far as the whole using the voice thing thoe. but i like to compliment my team say nice play n stuff like that. nd theres other things i say that have been said on here before
another thing i say that i havent seen on here is
"Feet"- when the puck is close to my plyers feet or theres a scramble and they loose sight, yoe get the drift... works sometimes

Man on
You got time
Wheel
Reverse
Get a stick (my way to tell the guy to get his butt out of my crease and go cover someone)
Feet
But you know what? I really don't think they listen anyway.

The biggest problem with talking to the team is that the mask basically gets in the way. All the consonants get blurred, so when a goalie says "screen, screen!" all anyone hears is "creeen creeen!" "Man on! man on!" works, but "You can't score from behind the net" comes out more like "uh ah orr umf hmai uh eh!"
I treat it as a lost cause for any bust the simplest messages.

I've found that just making fun of your own team is the funnest. You rip on them in hopes of hearing them laugh as they skate away.
I never shut up.
I'm the same way in baseball games as I catch.

You guys have covered most of what I do back there. I like to compliment my D on real good plays with a simple "NICE!"
I also play in pickups a lot so If I'm on the non white team I'll use jersey color with commands if I need to be specific. Best example for me is on the screen situation. I don't say screen. I'll say where I want the to go. Something like "Step left red" or I'll use numbers if it's a guy that always wears the same shirt he usually knows it or league game if I don't know their name yet.
Breakaways I'll call "get puck" or "pressure" if the carrier is weak that'll make them pass quicker or cough it up or "pass"/"get pass"

besides the obvious, Screen, back door etc. A goalie(IMO) should be the defence mens "eyes on the back of his head", in other words, keep and eye on guys who are coming around the other side of the net, or guys just waiting to pounce on the up the middle passes. Also when the D man is on the break out, look for the outlet pass for him and shout it to him. I am CONSTANTLY yellin and talkin and a yappin, Most Defense men love playin in front of me for this, not only does it help us out its makes them a better defense men and usually turns into less mistakes and in turn- less shots on me!

Im ALWAYS yelling at my team. The regulars move him, up boards around, take a look, hard on, 2 slow (2 people on but taking their time).
This season i was playing with a new team and at the end of the year my d were saying that i need to talk more. I was so baffled and told them i do. My coach was sitting beside me and said even he could hear me yelling from the bench and i talk too much. Stupid D

I do pretty much the same thing everybody else here has mentioned. One thing I didn't see what that I yell out "TWO!" or "THREE!" when I've got an odd-man situation developing to let my lone d-man that he can't commit to the puck-carrier.
I also try to let guys breaking out on the rush that they have help with stuff like "ONE WITH YA!"
Other than that, it's mostly stuff that the filters would make unintelligable anyway...

Another useful thing I say is to the defencemen who are digging in the corners for a puck. I will yell LOOSE or FEET depending on where the puck is relative to their location. It seems to help them.

You should come out more.
Stay back in the net.
Was I screening you?
There's nothing you could have done about that.
