Oh man, I got the totally wrong idea from the title of this thread, because back in the day in Kamloops there was a rock band called the Hextalls who each wore one of old Ron's jerseys and full gear on stage.
Sorry to hijack the thread.

To me that thing is useless, and at 375 dollars! wow...
Basketball drill? Are they serious?
If you want to practice screens just ask Wellsie on how to make many of his weird gadgets, and the fact that the goalie band prevents you from challenging for the screened shot makes it kind of useless
and everything else you don't need a "goalie ban" to work on...
PS: I was in a band where the bass player and I were both goalies, GOALIE BANDS!!!

Okay thanks. My initial reaction was that it wouldn't be useful. But I'm still old school most of the time. Thought maybe I was missing something!

I actually see some use to it. I work with a lot of younger kids and by far the biggest problem they have is depth. It's always way too much or way too little.
That being said, me putting my stick in the crease seems to do a pretty good job also.

good in theory
A screen board kicks but over this thing for screen drills but thats not its main purpose
It is designed to keep goalies out on the top of the crease and for that it would work great.
However as someoen mentioned laying your stick on the ice does almost the same thing and i usually use a few small pylons or cones to the same effect.
If I was still coaching allot I would buy one for maybee 50 bucks but probably not even then because its kind of cumbersom compared to how easy the other two alternatives are.
P.S I like the defensman accuracy drill it would reinforce the importants of shootign just over the height of a outstretched pad

Me too - I know there's plenty of drummers on here, myself included, but there is always a shortage of bass players

HAHAHAH I thought that site was a joke.
What a great way to end a practice eh?
And I like the screen one. "Use the force young padawan."

Okay, maybe me saying it was useless was a little harsh,
what I really meant to say was for, 375 dollars, it's useless
All the things demenstrated can be achieved with little or a small cost,
the drill where they put it over the stretch pad, why can't a peice of plywood do the job? I just don't see how this thing is worth 375 dollars.
for 375 dollars I would rather buy a slideboard
Ps: The screen drill, I would say it's much more beneficial to teach a goalie to battle for vision ontop of your craese and "block" then to hang at the goal line and try to ninja a puck blind folded...

I dont think the problem is with the intended use of the device, however, the problem is the cost of the device. 375.00 for what appears to be a piece of plastic on some mounting hardware is an unrealistic price.

The blindfolded ninja kick comment made me laugh. Thanks Goalie Band
