Talking Spring Tryouts

Well, today, I went to the free agent draft down at Wintersport Ice Arena (In the Willow Grove, PA area.) I did pretty well, considering I did as well as someone who has been playing for years and I've only played about 2-3. i made a great glove save, the guy had me beat and i did a split and caught it in the glove. Everyone thought it when in and then I dropped it outta my glove. The team reps who needed goalies werent present, but the guy said he'd give my name to em and try to get me placed on a team. Woohoo!

There is 28 teams in the league. Most people get on teams by knowing someone or you can even put together your own team. People who dont know anyone, but still want to play go to the Free Agent Draft. There, the team reps who need players come and watch, and pick people who they want on their teams.

Hey, I was watching that tryout. Mike Moore from Wintersport called me and asked me to show up in case they did not have any goalies. What number were you? Or, what kind or jersey were you wearing?

Blue jersey, #33.

Mike told me he had called a goalie up to help out. Maybe we should meet up some time and play some pick-up.

BTW, didnt that one guy have some nice Velos?

I stayed for the first part of the try out. I can't say I remember any saves...
There was a that tall guy in a white jersey. Some of the reps were remarking that he had put A on the level. I saw him miss the net a couple of times and trip over the blue line

I will let you know if I hear of any opportunities.

I showed up for the 7:00pm open skate and there were a few leaving then... I saw that they have a Friday and Saturday open hockey session....
If you are up to it, I get together with a few teamates on Wednesday morning at 6:15am for open hockey.

Bummer....I forgot that you were a youngin...

I saw that a team called the Immates needed a goalie. So, I hope you get a call.

(Yesterday Ihad a game. We won 4-2 they had 36 shots. Worst part was that it was hot and humid...)
