Yikes! I felt out of shape just reading that thing!

I try and do a few exercises after school and I'll be doing a power skating clinic right before camp but that's it.

By the way, does anyone have that bowflex machine?

one of the kids on my team has one. He seems to really like it. I'm not too much into heavy duty weight-lifting because i really dont have the build for it (read tall and lanky) but im going to start doing some running, biking, sprints, etc. and am going to try to do some upper body stuff too. It's hard finding time with the school year and finals coming around.

Not to be a jerk, but excuses are like a-holes, everyone has one and they all stink. If you have an hour a day, you have plenty of time to work out.

Oh Yeah that's the truth Sloth, I know cuase that used to be my excuse!

Seriously, my son will be attending goalie Camp in mid- July, so after his season ended, we gave him a MANDATORY two weeks off! Just to chill out, get away from hockey and relax. Don't want to have a case of burnout and have him hating what he's doing.

We have started a light workout for now, crunches, leg exercise. Things to keep him limber, and keep tone. In the process I have been working out with him and for the obvious reasons has been good for both of us.

With the weather getting warmer here we will be doing outside drills to work on speed and muscle strength, and shortly before camp we will be hitting the ice a few times a week.

My advice: go at your own pace, you know what you are capable of. Just stick to the basics, with everything your doing, it sounds like you'll have no problem come time for camp. Enjoy!
