6/15 Clinic - Afterthoughts, pics etc...

Thanks for all participants for coming down to "sunny Rochester" and Maksy & Yona for helping to pull this event together.

It was great seeing all you guys and work for a day with you.

I will add some comments and pictures here shortly and Finer will have us some digital video clips later as well.

Thanks again!

Jukka

I just wanted to add that I am sorry I didn't get to say "bye" to everyone. I have had some concussion problems in the past and sometimes my migraines get so unbearable I just need to lay down and use my prescription nasal spray. Usually, a few pills work, but yesterday it didn't help with dulling it down.

It was an awesome day and great to meet everyone.

Thanks very much to Jukka, Maksy and Yona for donating their valuable weekend time.

If anyone wants to come up to Rochester, consider me their tour guide and goalie room partner.

Jim

Jukka, I can't wait for the pictures and the movies to come. I wish I only could have made it to the clinic but Rochester is like 6 hours away I believe I am not too too sure. If there is another clinic during the summer I am gonna have to try and beg my dad to bring me down.

The clinic looks like it must have been a blast. Maybe we can try and get Jukka on the west coast, or try and get Keeks over here again.

BB clinics = GOOD

Awesome Day!

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to take the time to thank Jukka, Maksy and Yona for a truely wonderful time and experience! I had a chance to meet everyone and put a name to a face and this was alone worth the price of admission!

The day was well structured, organized and EXTREMELY challenging! No question I have discovered a few new muscle groups!!!!! The on-ice drills were setup in a way that you could participate at a level you were comfortable with. One thing is for sure, I don't want to jump any more goalie sticks any time soon. The other humorous thing was when we did the diving drill through the other persons legs. At one point I had Yona as my partner and both of us are diehard Koho fans. I dove through Yona's legs and ended up catching his skate. He fell on my arse and it was a rather humourous "KODAK" moment according to Jukka......Something about a Koho lovers reunion?!!!!!

Some other highlights were meeting Pete Smith and seeing his sweet new gear! Great gent to chat with and a nice firsthand view of the stuff via trial! Can't beat that!

Truth #1 = Jukka is El Diablo! No question about it!
Truth #2 = "Blocker First, Questions Later" really does have a meaning! OUCH....that nice little James Bond mod on Jukka's blocker is something I may consider at some point!!
Truth #3 = Yona is Dr. Evil for a good reason! I couldn't feel my feet at one point during the on-ice drills.
Truth #4 = those pucks were in the net before I started....seriously...Finer let them all in and didn't clean out the net....I swear!

So many great people make up this BB and this was a chance to meet a great group of them! I enjoyed every minute (while I was able to breathe!) and wouldn't have missed it for the world!

Thankyou to our hosts for a great day!!!!!

Paul G.

P.S.....Finer and I arrived in Toronto at about 2:30 AM due to a "slight" 70 mile detour to Loon Lake.....lets just say we "missed" the 90-W sign......My designated naviagator had a wonderful snooze at about that time!!!! Oh well....we made it home safe and we had a blast!!!!

Hey,

I want to echo the gasmans sentiments and thank all those involved in the clinic. It was truly amazing.

I learned so much my brain as well as my body hurts today.

I need to add that in the picture of my son Boomer "little eddy g"

No actual alcohol was consumed and the picture was for entertainment purposes only

He has tiered from just watching his old man get beat up all day.

Thanks again everyone, I feel very fortunet to have been a part of this and look forward to other get togethers in the future.

Eddy G

Oh, one other thing......Don't I look awesome in those pictures ?
Now if I could only play as well as I look I'd be all set

Thanks for a great time to everyone.
I had a blast
Jukka, if you can find a way to attend the 2nd annual BB members Goaltender “Re-Education” Clinic 1 year from today I promise I will be the best conditioned goalie over 30 there. You will have to knock me out of the goalie room, instead of getting out of my way as I teeter toward the door! I am up to the challenge if you are (heck, all you have to do is get on a plane, I’m gonna have to work my tail off)!

Shifter and I are so sore (especially in the abs) that it became a sick game of trying to make the other guy laugh on the way home. We made it back VA in great time, and I sent him back to the mountains of deepest darkest West VA about 5:30 pm. It was great to find out that everyone was as cool in person as they are on the board. I can’t wait to do this again (maybe a fall or winter session if Yona and Dave have the time).
As far as Pete Smith and his gear go, he’s a great guy. It really made my day when he let me wear his pads in the goalie room. They are sweeter that any of you can really imagine. He really knows his gear, and I may have found my next set (in 3 months or so, were up to 8 … or is it 9 and counting!!!).
I can’t wait to do this again!!
What a blast!
Jonathan

The day was awesome, beyond any of my expectations. I can't thank Jukka enough for pulling this off.

I can't wait to see what Jani and Tony look like in a few more years. They kicked the old guys buts all over the place.

I'll write some more later, now I have a very long day ahead.
