Unhappy Inline Goalie Skates ----> HELP!

Hey,

I've been looking at most of the posts on here about goalie skates. Also was looking at Bauer's Inline 1000 Goalie skates , but the only store I know that carries them around me doesnt have my size and said that they cant get my size in. WTF???
Now I found it out ----> Bauer doesnt make them anymore. Also found a web page that you can put a five wheel chasse on a any goalie skate but between the bauer one and the one on the web page , the bauer skate looks alot lower..... does anyone know where I can get a good low skate ???? I have size 13 shoe and most of the time I have hard times finding things that fit and I dont have alot of money. Does anyone have any suggestions ???? I'm just sick of playing with player skates that have no toe protection and has 80mm wheels.

Andrew

Andrew,

I'm sorry to say this, but as a veteran I must...Do a freakin' search. Not only has this been covered before, but it's being covered in an active thread right now...not five topics down from the one you posted.

Thanks, and welcome to the board.

You can't do anything about the toe protection. But you do know that you can replace those 80mm wheels with something smaller, don't you?

If you can't find the inline skates then all you can do is buy a pair of ice goalie skates, cut the blade holder off, and have a roller chassis mounted by your local skate shop.

Ya know, Aussie, it's not that we don't belive you about the hieght or protection of the CCM 755's. It's that:

1. they've been discontinued. and:

2. It comes with a plastic frame which none of us want.

damn,.

I didn't know they had been discontinued because over here you can still buy them like there the newest thing out. Well the plastic fram is brilliant i didn't think i would like it. But you can also change the chassis if u want.

Aussie,

Changing the chasis would be a great idea, but no one sells a chasis that low made out of aluminum.

Vision,

Are you holding out on us. I know and I think I posted that Bauer may be realeasing by itself the chasis off their goalie skate in October or November. but that has not been confirmed by Bauer themselves, just from the guy who runs my loca pro shop.

Not holding out at all. I believe that I've posted on several occasions that I have been working with a couple of different companies that are developing goalie specific chassis.
