So who here has Sure-Grip Frames????

I was just curious since the bauer skate frames look way lower than the sure-gip ones.I'd rather rather try to find some bauer skates that one one wants and take the frames from them on to another skate. So does anyone have the Sure-Grip Frames??? Are they too high???? How much are they????

thanks

Andrew

Dawson,
You have two different angles which makes it hard to compare and the Bauer's use smaller (by 12mm) wheels. But I think that the Bauer's are slightly lower.

Question Straps and Buckles

Where do you fasten your leg pads to the skates?
If I don't fasten my leg pads they will be turning to the outside which is not good.
I can see where to put the straps on the suregrip but I definitely have my doubts with the Bauer skates...

Fliegenfänger, (Fly Catcher)
Leg straps fit under both fames. If you have 2 bottom straps 1 goes under, the 2nd goes under the heal (outside the frame). I do it tight enough not to slip off but not too tight to effect my play.
I use CCM 755s. a nice skate.
I don't think I like the Sure-Grips the seem to high, but maybe thats just the picture.

Fly trap would be the right translation from my knowledge even though translating each part of the word transforms into Fly Catcher...

At the moment I have some Bauer supreme 1000 player skate where I use 59mm wheels.
I always had that single strap at the heel and used the toe-bridges strings. But recently I left away the strings since they pulled the pad down towards the wheels and I'd stumble around sometimes because the first wheel was blocked (pad cover interferes there too).
Now I started to have that strap going through the punchout of the frame and it seems to work great. So I wondered how you do that.

Hehe, since I still use player skates, I don't care at the moment. I don't have the money for new skates anyway.
