I ask too many questions ...... anyways , does any body know the differneces of the Bauer 1000 Goal skate and the Bauer 3000 Goal skate ?????? The price difference between them is about $100 US which is a hell of alot of money in canadian ($154 CDN) Also there is the CCM 452 Goal Skate which is cheap ----> $129 US. I went to the local shop and looked at them ... and no one would help me

I'll spare you the search.

The Bauer 3000 has a
5-wheel chassis
Higher-quality boot
47mm wheels (smaller=better)
Higher-quality, more durable chassis

Avatarkava,

Both the 1000 and the 5000 have a 5 wheel chasis, as long as we are talking about recent models of both. There are indepth discussions on both if a search is done.

Dawson,

Here is the break down on thes skates. The only ones currenty available are the 1000's. THe 3000 and 5000 maodel are still out there but they are not currently produced by Bauer (old stock)

the best is the 5000 in the inline models, same boot as their 5000 ice, so it can be baked to make break in quicker. This model was produced with a 5 wheel 47mm chasis and a 4 wheel larger not sure of the size. the 4 wheel is older if you find these. This model comes in widths and in sizes just like its ice cousin.

The 3000 is between the 1000 and the 5000. I believe it can be baked but I have not seen this model anywhere in a few years. I think it was discontinued and Bauer went low end (1000)and high end(5000) only. This one came in widths when it was made.

The 1000 is still available it only comes in 1 width(D I think) the current madel has the 5 wheel 47mm chasis. Boot is the same as the 1000 ice model, the lowest end. This one can not be baked.

If you need to know anything else more specific let me know.

BDD,
I do believe that Bauer has reintroduced the 3000 this year. Still uses the same 5 wheel chassis that requires 47mm wheels but at least these are easier to find these days.

Thanks for relying eventhough its so obivous to you, sorry I get excited sometimes ..... and ask really stupid questions. I was just wondering what you guys think. Should I wait until someone makes an inline goal skate or just make my own with Sure-Grips. I'm not going to be playing in a league for a while but I wanted to get into some dropin sessions. From my search ----> The boot sucks on the Bauer 1000 and actually seeing the Bauer 1000s ---->I like the setup.... really really low. So what do you think? Should I wait to see who comes out with the next skate? Either which way its going to cost me a fair bit of money

Dawson,

That is up to you. I personally would get a comofrtable boot first and foremost. If that means making skates from a pair of ice skates or finding a pair already built that is up to you. I believe that if the boot is uncomfortable you will be miserable while skating. To add to it if Vision and I are correct there may be some low profile (aka Bauer type) chasis being made and sold seperately soon and you can always change chasis if you think yours is too high.

Just my 2 cents

I just got the bauer 1000 4 wheel, it fits better than my ccm ice skates which are baked. It cant be baked but as soon as I put it on It felt as if it were baked exactly to my foot. But Im just lucky! Try the 1000 on, its cheaper and, if your lucky like me, it might fit better.
