down in australia we have this tournament called the silver cup which is geared towards the 'non-elite' players and at the past 5 silver cups my friend and i have entered a team full of goalies playing out and are yet to win. we got really close once but lost a semi final but this time we have a really good chance coz we're playing in a lower division in the non-elite tournament this time.
this bb has two members playing in the tourney (not bad considering there's only 3 aussies on the boards) myself and aussie_goalie. aussie_goalie (sean) is a rookie on the team so what do you guys reckon we should do to him?
wish us luck as we're hoping to walk away with the trophy and prizemoney (unfortunately prize money for bronze division is only 1000 pesos which roughly converted i think is bugger all).

Ohh and with that tourney we won't be acting like forwards or D men, we'll still be diving in front of those pucks cuz were insane. Hmmm also no need to add ideas (because i dont want anything bad to happen to me) hehehehe. well yeah were representing all you goalies out there. Wish us luck.

woohoo ! we've got thru regular games without losing. we had 5 wins and 0 losses and by clinching top spot we set ourselves up for a good finals run. finals are on tomorrow and our form is good. at this tournament there is no highest point scorer award. in an effort to get players to pass the puck more a most assists award is issued, which i won and i reckon one of our players who actually finished as the highest point scorer is a more than likely chance at winning MVP. go goalies, we rule the world (or at least the non-elite section of australia)

Well we lost the grand final to Team Porn.

But we all played unreal just that damn goal to them with 30 seconds left argh!!!

yeh it was a real heart breaker that final. really low scoring. we lost 2-1 but we were just happy to be in the final. unfortunately our finals run wasn't as good as i thought it would be and we had to play a tough semi-final which we created a huge upset to win 6-4. but we lost the final 2-1.
like i said earlier i won most assists (weird coz i never pass

) and the player that i suspected would win MVP did win it, so it wasn't a total loss for the goalies. we'll be back next time though !!!

Yeah thanx RRG appreicate it mate.

Well next year we will be back to rip it all up. Team Porn will be going down (hopefully they dont play hehe)

Ohh and i played a few games in the net to fill in for some teams, but my best game was with Team Balistyx against Team Hobart and i had 32 shots for only 3 goals!!!!! that's afer a year off mind you so im pretty stoked about it.
