I wish to thank all of my aformentioned BB friends for your well-thought-out advice and suggestions.

I will be trying all of them out this weekend. Wish me luck!

Ok, I'm not sure if this is a joke or not but I guess I will throw my 2 cents AMERICAN (thats equal to about 100 dollars canadian) into this conversation. I have never played on asphault so I am not 100% sure if my ideas would work but any ways here I go.

Mont, you stances looks small, widen yourself. Place I like to look to model my stance/butterfly after are the guys in the QMJHL.

This stance about is very compacted but with not many holes, the 5 hole is the only big on but that can hopefully be covered by quick reflexes.

Now for the butterfly, if you look at that new picture of JM Pelly, the Canes goalie, he is performing a nice buttefly with minal holes...... I hope this helps

Jdog my friend,
WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I SEE HOLES ALL OVER THE PLACE! THAT GUY HAS AS BAD A PROBLEM AS I DO!

AND FURTHERMORE - LOOK TO THE GOALIES LEFT SIDE - A SHOT FROM THERE WOULD FIND A WIDE OPEN GAPING HOLE AS WELL!

AND LOOK TO THE GOALIES RIGHT SIDE - SAME PROBLEM.

Nope, I think this photo reveals as many faults with this OHL dude as my photo

By the way our team record so far 7 games, 10 goals. I think those 1.42 goals per game are obviously the result of the weaknesses you can see in my photo. PHOTOS TELL ALL - WHO NEEDS ICETIME!

Jdog!
hey buddy - I know and believe me I appreciate it. I wasnt going to explain this whole thread but as you know you are a good friend of mine, so I want to make sure you are clear as to my intentions. Sometimes (many times) text just doesnt reveal the smile on the guy writing something - unfortunately.

I was being sarcastic about this whole thing of people showing photos of goalies, then making comments about how good or bad they are based on that picture. Since you cannot make a judgement on a moment in time that changes by the microsecond, one cannot make a judgement about a goalie in action either. Maybe you could if the camera shot from the shooters stick blade or the puck itself, but otherwise it is either inaccurate, unfair, uninformed or all of them. One could take a picture of a bridge or building and make comments, but not a "moment in time."

Even a goalie looking super cool or picture perfect, might be the worst swiss cheese on the planet AND VISA VERSA.

The photo I made was "custom" made for my thread - just as a joke on that idea.

Having said all that, please accept my appreciation for your good intentions and my apologies for not making my own comments clearer that they were done tongue in cheek.

talk to ya soon via email ...
