Photo Of My Butterfly - Please Help!

Okay, I know I have mentioned more than once how meaningless still photos are as far as telling a story about how good or bad a goalie is. Whether or not he is doing something right or doing something wrong and so on...

BUT I AWOKE THIS MORNING REALISING HOW WRONG I WAS! I NOW FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT STILL PHOTOS ARE EVEN BETTER THAN LIVE ACTION!

After finding this photo of a recent game, I did some serious analysis of it and was SHOCKED at my findings! I have marked off the areas where I appear to have serious weak spots. It seems I have holes all over the place and I never even realised this until seeing this photo.

Please help! Your opinions and suggestions are welcome and appreciated!

Also, if you go to this link below, you can clearly see there is a GAPING hole in the photo here as well!

Thanks for your reply Kevin. But please be more specific. Are you saying my stance is technically perfect but its the equipment that is the problem?

Can you recommend a particular brand or model that could help eliminate all these holes?

GAWD KEVIN!
I just checked the first photo again. I can see that if a guy was even way out in the corner to my LEFT side, he would have a TON of space to shoot as well. I thought it was only my right side where I had the most problems!

aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgh!

Make the nets smaller, and go with Franklin gear. I've heard nothing about good things about them.

I've got a set of Franklin 8000 series gloves if you'd like to try them out. ( The sad part is that I actually do have them. )

Ok, here's some suggestions:

1. In regards to the hole on your left, you should try holding your catch glove even FURTHER back behind you pad to try and cut that angle down a bit.

2. Going with the "Garth Snow" C/A will help eliminate the upper angles.

3. You need to spend untold masses of money to do some research on color paderns that are confusing and lead to seizures and give the illusion of making things look larger than they appear.......then change your pads and gloves to those colors.

One a side note, are you really short, or is the shaft of your stick really long? It's like over your head.

Just so you don't feel to bad, here's a pic of my B/F:

WERNER,

LOL,

...you made my day, I especially like points 1 and 2.

I noticed you also have a weak spot in your photo (which is smokin'). I can see you would be extremely vulnerable with a shot on your right side from the faceoff circle. Damn, you've got some of the same weaknesses as I do. So I feel better knowing that at least my good friend WERNER and I have some technical (weaknesses) in common.

BTW your butterfly is definitely MUCH more butterfly-ish than mine...

I would say your biggest problem is that you are playing on street, and not ice.

Mont,

Get on knees in net hold 4ft x 6ft piece of plywood in front of you.

Problem solved. NO HOLES Unless You move the board.

Mont, it's really a hard call, but I'd say you better switch to playing D. Would fit you a lot better (judging by the pic)!!!

Hey man, my Franklin SH Pro pillows are rokken like Dokken. Come to think of it, I also have Franklin gloves! AAAAHHH!! I don't know man, according to your stats, you've only given up four goals in six games, so I wouldn't worry too much.

I think the real solution is to start eating like a sumo wrestler. When you get to 4 feet wide, do a pad stack in front of your net...
