First of all nice butterfly thread Mont.
It's a great take on one direction the BB has taken, but not the only one, it has a diverse range of members who contribute differently whom actually post heartfelt opinions and knowledge not as insignificant as those we are all too familiar with. I know you didn't forget this Mont, we've spoken a few times about the benifits this site obviously provides, infact I only said that to seem objective but impartial myself, look at me, I'm turning into one of THEM, but enough of that and on to the post.
I suppose this could have been a PM to Mont but I wanted to see to how many people this applied. I just wanted to say that I was at the recent Eurpoean Cup for Skater Hockey and was there as part of the Great Britain senior team. I wondered how many others we're there and what they thought of the standard of hockey. It was played on smooth asphalt, man, that is the way the sport should be played. It was covered by a roof but no sides, much cooler than a hall, the accoustics were less confusing and the surface was non-slip when you got sweat on it.
I know that the Danish Junior goalie that was there is Brown Star #31, he played a fantastic tournament for his team, especially in the first game of the tournament against the eventual winners Switzerland, you had a great tournament mate, those damn Swiss, they pulled a number on my brothers in the semi-final as well (GB 2 : 3 Switzerland). Still my brother got ALLSTAR player so it wasn't a complete loss, to all those who didn't know the Swiss juniors beat the Danes in the final.
Also Mont might know a few people in the Danish senior team. I think the team's first goalie was the other goalie from the hustlers, had white plastic guards on his pads (which were also white). He played a great tournament in all the games I saw. I also had reliable information that a guy playing for Denmark going by the name of either PD or Pete also played for the hustlers and was there. Tell me if that was nonsense. If I'm right they might remember me, I was the Great Britain goaltender that played against them twice, we almost snuck a win in a tight 3-3 tie, still, I can dream (we came last in the end, not one win). I think I had a good tournament and if anything it was enjoyable as hell, especially the beer tent on Sunday evening and into the night as well

. It was well run and the surface was to die for, the ball ran so smooth and skimmed across the surface, open air, it was a real shock to my system, one I hope I can repeat every so often, Mont, you don't know how lucky you are playing outside, but a tip, GET A ROOF! If it rained with no roof, man I would take a note out of Eric Cartman's book, "screw you guys, I'm going home".
Was any other goalies or otherwise at the tournament, the standard of senior hockey in particular was breath taking, you had to play these teams to appreciate it, and then to see them take each other apart, it was inspiring. It made me appreciate Skater Hockey all over again. I was at an ice hockey goalie camp in recent months and since had a lack lustered attitude towards skater hockey thinking it was going no where, man have I got the bug back in avengance. MONT WHY WEREN'T YOU THERE, I'M ALMOST SURE YOU ARE IN THE TEAM PHOTO in the programme (a guy with 580's if I remember correctly), it would have been a blast.
As a side note the European Club championships for seniors are in Denmanrk in October so maybe you will be there?? We are the London Street Warriors from Great Britain. I'll get back to you to say where are when more precisely, also Brown Star #31, will you be at the same Junior event being held in the Neatherlands 30th Nov - 1st Dec, I'll be there too, but beware, our club team kicked ass last season, we'll give you a run fro your money
