Hi,
The plate came on the pad but there was no plate where I actually needed one. I'm going to post some picture of the plate that comes with the pad and the new plates that I ended up making for the pad to show you guys what I mean.
The plate that I added on the the inner bottom foot area is made out of plastic that my friend found at his work, flexible and very moldable when you heat it up. It's not very thick but durable (I'm going to look around for plastic that is similar to give you an idea of something you can use). Holes were punched in it and I used plastic ties (sometimes cops use them as handcuff) to hold them on. Since they are plastic they work with the plate to slide. This foot piece actually allows the slide, without it the other plate was useless. I've noticed that the slide comes from the toe area back by the wear on the plate so it's important to include that on the plates (if you make them yourself). The two plates over lap to allow the pad to slide.
Last night I played dek hockey with them on for the first time. It made a huge difference in getting over to the post, and half butterflies. In roller the same is true, but I also found them helpfull for full b-flys and getting to the low post.
I'm pretty sure that no one sells these plates because it has to really fit properly to you pad in order to work. If you have any more questions let me know. I'm working on getting the pics. (All my equipment is at the rink in our locker room and I keep forgetting to bring my digital camera.) I'm really sorry for taking so long.
jbhcky21 what kind of pads are you currently wearing? That way I can give you an idea of how to attach them.
