In roller hockey mine is about 70-75. I think thats not bad but its not great but I'm not 100% sure what it should be in rolley hockey.

The infomration you are requesting is pretty much useless. You don't know what skill level the others are playing at, so just because they have a good save %, they very well could be playing against weaker teams. Why do you need this info?

Played on a 6-13-1 team in High School Junior Varsity last season. My defense was a revolving door without a stopper. I had an .863 save percentage. In the 16 games I played (Missed 3 due to injury, and one was a forfeit), I faced 453 shots.. fairly unheard of considering the games are 44 minutes long.

For inline hockey, acceptable save percentages are skewed from our ice counterparts. Usually it runs something around this:

92+ Awesome
91-89 Above Average
88-85 Average
80-85 Not bad
80-Below ..you're heading off the deep end.

There are exceptions, of course, but usually that's about how it goes.

Most of the better guys in the RHI posted 84. to 87. So if you figure that was pretty much the highest klevel of roller ever played.... well that should give you a pretty good idea of what should be expected.

a 92. in roller? That would mean you are playing well belowe your skill level.

i play in england in the nihl league, some good teams there, my stats are

gp min ga gaa sog save%
18 810 93 5.17 597 84.422

this season hasn't been one of my best and for the third time running ive had the most shots on goal in the league, in one game i had 55 shots on goal,

the other league we played in was called deeside-ihl, but that league never kept any stats.

I'm at about 85-86% and I'm still acclimating to the league in which I play. I'd say you'd want a base of 80%. If you can start a season around there (if you're playing in a new league), you should see it level out to a decent percentage.

Our region hasn't released stats yet, and they probably wont be that accurate because we swapped goalies in and out without the scorers noticing.

I do know that our last game against the Titans I faced 85 shots and we lost 40-0 So thats around 53% Not one of my best games.

I reckon my average on the season is just under 60 ish.

I obviously aim to improve that in my 2nd year.

I don't trust the SOG counts I get in my games.

Bottom line is that I know how well I've played (ie: stopping the tough ones, or letting in easy ones). Doesn't matter how many I've faced...

Save percentage is a pretty useless stat, particularly in inline.
In one league I play in I'm on a horrible team and face about 40 shots per game and save around 75-80%. In another league I play in I'm on a slightly better team but the skill level of that league is pretty much the same. In that second team I save about 65-70%.
That's two leagues of pretty much the same skill level. In the league where I have a lower saving percentage I'm playing with better players. The reason for my poor stats is because the league is ridiculously balanced towards forwards. There is so much attacking in that league and the goalies are often left hung to dry.
It all really depends what type of league you're playing in.

The main reason I prefer roller over ice is the amount of shots. I thrive on lots of shots. I play goal because I like to see shots. At pick up I root for the other team to get oppurtinies to get more shots. I feel disappointed when my team makes a good defensive play as that means I will not be seeing a shot.

League play is different. I want to get enough shots to have fun but I also want my team to allow less shots so my stats are good and we can win.

Am I crazy?

Fish, I think we all feel that disappointment/nervousness when our teams make defensive plays that stop a shot from getting on net Our jobs are on the line, and when they realize that they can still play without us all the time, we're screwed!!
