That's a shame. I kind of expected this to happen to that league, just not in the middle of the season.
There is another post on that BB about someone begging for a reliable RH pro league. I believe that there is the talent to make an RHI-type league that will stick around, but no one is willing to take the risk of investing that greatly.

there is a league called PIHA. they are like IHA... site is: http://www.proinlinehockey.com/
as for IHA, here is a statement made by an IHA player from another BB.
"As a player I will tell you this: The IHA failed due to very poor managment (Jeff Buma). Jeff did one smart thing in his life...and that was to try and start a pro roller league to allow the sport to grow. But it was everything he did after that and how he organized (lack there of) and handled the finances of the league that took it down the drain.
But the ty thing is this: when things started going badly, as of game number 1, Jeff had many opportunities to act and make appropriate changes to better the league. There were several successful businessmen who came in to offer help and their support and Jeff still decided to do his own thing...and whalahh...no more IHA.
I heard some people saying that the league failed because the players wanted more money. Its true that the players wanted more money...but thats not why the league failed. You should all know that we were out there hitting, fighting, scoring, interacting with the fans and trying to get this thing off the ground for $0.00 dollars. Yep thats right...NOBODY was getting paid out there. We were supposed to...we were told we were going to...we deserved to...we played as if we were getting paid...but not a dime ever came out of the IHA's pocket to pay the players. Thats how piss-poor the money management was.
But, we continued to play because we knew it would help the sport. It wasnt until the last game where the owners and investors in the league dug into their wallets (AGAIN!) to help Buma and they paid the players with their own money.
Now, this doesnt even come close to what I am about to tell you: I just found out that Buma never paid the insurance fees for ANY of the players. He lied to us and he had us sign the insurance forms, and told us that is was okay to hit and fight because the insurance was paid and we were all protected. He lied! He had us playing out there with absolutely no protection at all. And do you know what the total cost would have been to pay for every player's insurance in the IHA? Not even $2,000! Those players who DID get hurt out there are now screwed with high medical expenses because BUMA hung us out to dry.
So, if the IHA PRO league had no insurance, do you think that the minor league did? NOPE! Buma was letting all these kids, who really didnt know how to hit properly, go out there and put everything on the line with absolutely NO medical coverage!!!! If one of those kids broke a leg, their family would have to pay thousands of dollars because when the hospital tells them that they really werent covered with insurance...mom and dad have to now break into the bank account.
So are you telling me that BUMA sounds like a guy who cares about the sport of roller hockey? Are you asking me if I am wishing the guy the best of luck? Do I commend his efforts? Hell No!
The guy is gutless, manipulative, coniving, a liar and a thief.
This is called INSURANCE FRAUD people! He should go to prison for what he did.
Jeff Buma!"
that is all I can tell you...

PIHA is non-check and semi-pro. I played with the York Typhoon last year.

It is my understanding that USA inline "insurance" is not a medical insurance plan like an HMO or PPO, it is simply catastrophic insurance if something well...catastrophic happened.

Problably right. I think they go under the secondary insurer type.
I have the same for my baseball team I run/ play for.

This seems like a hastily and emotionally written post. You do yourself a disservice, as the poor spelling and grammar, lack of punctuation or capitals, and general messiness of your point obscures what you are trying to say.
Address the issue calmly and intelligently, and have your post reflect that.

Holy crap! I didn't notice that! I hope HE has insurance, because there is clearly a head injury issue if it takes him THREE YEARS to write that poorly.
