If it is strictly for roller, the only problem you would have is I don't think they will slide very well. Something with nylon kneewings and/or gusset would perform better.
If you like the velo concept you could look into vaughn XPs, or Battrams, who make specifically roller pads, or you can get slide plates with ice pads....and you can customise!!
I'm using velo I's for floor and they work because they have a nylon kneewing.
Alternately you could get the Velo II and put velcro (apparently male...I"ve always used female but another thread seems to show a definate preference for male for most people) on the wings.

I use Velo 1s for roller and have for years. I love 'em.
I'd recommend getting rid of the calf stabilizers or just opting for a V1 (if Vaughn'll do that...), as the calf wrap itself is nylon.
You are going to get plenty of people telling you to go for the Battrams with slide plates, and for the price, it's not a bad option. I guess I'm just a name-brand whore

For the price, I think it's a better option, honestly.
Custom construction including colors, plus the slide pads, for the same price or cheaper. No brainer in my opinion.

What you should do:
If you want v2s, email vaughn to re-assure this.... get slide plates installed, and cordura material.....
vaughn will do that, and will not charge extra!!! i was going to have this done to a pair of v2s i was going to order, but i decided to go with c10s instead.... i have used v1s on roller, and had absolutely no problems

+1 on this one. Leafer just because it has a specific name on it doesnt make it better...........Battram is one of the best for inline I believe. With all of the mods and such I got done to my pads I still got them for about the same price as unmodded name brand pads.

i used to use velo 2 for inline, then i moved over to vapors, it all depends how much you have to spend, and how much you can get the pads for, i got a steal on the vapors $650can, the velo 2 i got for $980 when they had just been released, which was very cheap at the time, couple it with a good exchange rate and you've litterally swam the channel. id say look on ebay for some good seconds, the shipping should be around $150 from america, i have only just sold my velo 2 and they were £450 so a steal for someone, i do know of some one who has some rbk pro's for sale in the uk, steduval.
as for sliding aslong as your on sports court you'll be fine, my vapors tend to slide more, you can buy/make pad covers tho.
