Just got home now. My team ended up going 2-1-1 in prelims, but it wasnt enough to make it into the playoffs. The 3rd and 4th seed teams in playoffs played each other in prelims and tied 3-3, and my team played the 3rd seeded team and crushed them like 5 or 6 to 1. I hate when **** like that happens.
We lost to quest selects 6-1, pretty good team, but as i expected, a very screwed up game. So far, i have played 4 new york teams in the Torhs Winter tourmaents in Philly, every single time, my team has been screwed over by reffing. We had 3 4-2 shorthanded situation, in which they easily capitalized on. I obviously ended up having an off game as i wasnt able to keep my team in it the whole game.
Fun tournament though. Went to NY on sunday and had a blast. My team exceeded my expectations, as its one point to never play with your team before, but to meet your teamates for the first time in a big tournament is hard. Hopefully next tournament, it pittsburgh, ALL of the players can make it and we dont have to have fill-ins.
Congrats AVA, wasnt able to see any adult games, times were so screwed. I was only able to see rob laurie play the first period in his first game.....
EDIT** re read what i posted. We beat the 3rd seed team 6-1, and tied the 4th seeded team 3-3.
