Gear rules
Does anyone know if any leagues will be mandating the NHL styled of size rulings or no? I have done a search but nothing came up.

College should be changin in 2009, and I haven't heard anything about high school, but it would be a big problem getting us all in new pads, if tehy wasn't to uy them for us i would be happy but not happening

You realize you're in the roller forum, right?
I doubt roller leagues will ever enforce the change on goalie gear sizing.

11 inch pads would help a lot in regards to mobility on roller. i wish i could get a senior level pad for roller in 11" or if mission made the heliums in 11" since they seem wide to begin with.
but it will not happen for many years because many roller goalies rely on older gear so it wouldnt be feasible till 11" pads were easily available at low used costs.

College has no intentions of changing the gear regulations. With the exception of Elite, most college roller goalies don't get any kind of advantage from their gear size

slide plates
I didn't have slide plates in my brief ECRHA stint, but are they illegal in the NCRHA?
Is it okay to have them as long as your pads are still only 12" wide, or are they viewed as a contrivance?
Anyone know?
