They take about three days, then he ships them out express post. So probably 5-6 days from order finalization to receiving them.

I wish he would update the pic on his website. Maybe more people would be willing to buy them if they looked better on his site.

I spoke to him on the phone and he said the prices are as follows.

under 32" 129.00
32"-34" 149.00
34"-37" 169.00

He can make them for the 12" pads or the 11" pads. The prices above are for the 12".

I just got an e-mail from him about 10 min ago that said he will work on them over the weekend!

I will update when I receive them and take pictures!

I asked him about that as well. He said that he doesn't work on the store full time anymore and it has been years since he has updated it. I explained to him the same thing that you just said. I think if people saw his new designs and that he would make whatever you wanted that he would sell a lot more.

Exactly. The pics that are there look horrible!

Mitchell's really are well put together, and the three piece design means they'll fit anything quite well.

Yeah I think that is an advantage over the other sets. They look more like pillow cases.

I just received the pad covers today. I play on sportcourt and I will review after the next game.

Here is a before and after

The cover looks bulky from this shot but it really is tight against the pad. These look really well put together and I look forward to using them. I put them on and was sliding across my tile floor.

Thumbs up

I have finally played a game in the covers on Sport Court. I will give my observations on how they did.

There was a noticeable change in the sliding of the pads while on the surface. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was happy with the results. Performing a sliding V is out of the question on Sport Court but I didn't really expect to be able to. The biggest advantage that I noticed is If I drop in a V and the puck is deflected or a rebound is given the pads DO slide when I rotate my hips and extend out. I was used to being able to lean on my feet in almost a Potvin like stance. I wasn't paying attention and I tried it and the pads slid out from under me.

So I guess the best way to describe using the pad covers is that you are able to shuffle and slide the pads while down which I was unable to without. My pads would stick and rub. There is a noticeable difference in the abilty to extend out while making a save. The pad will no longer stick to the surface!

I am VERY happy with my purchase and I will be out there again this weekend! I may get some action pics.

Yea the last game I played with mine I had problems getting up from an overly wide butterfly because the pads kept sliding out from under me. It's a good problem. I also found that I was stretching some leg muscles out a lot more, as when you do extend your legs actually move, and don't just stick to the floor. That was a bit painful.

I used to have mitchell pad covers on my pad and I took them off and put on slide plates on my pads. I think my pads looks alot better without them and I slide alot better on them.
