Played for a silver team tonight

What the title says... but some guys asked me when I was just practicing today and I played with the WORST silver team I ever saw... EVER! Picture 200pound+ skaters that could not even skate and gave me no D. score was 10-2 I saved honestly 70+. It was sad... but still I would do it again in a heartbeat I still had some amazing kickass saves!

Eric

I felt like I was! Afterwords one guy came up to me and said "Your a great goalie! If we had our other goalie we would have died, honestly. It was our fault for us not giving you any D." Honestly though, I'm not sure how they EVER got in the silver league. They look worse then the worse team in bronze. Truly sad...

I love playing for other teams and having like 50+ shots in a game!

It was a great game because of how many shots I got.

Awsome. I filled in for this team like 2 weeks ago that couldnt stop tripping over the blue line. One kid came up to me and was like all sad and said" We might get a win this year".

So I made sure we won. I had good time though and let in a few stupid shots and one kid actually scored on me from my own team on accident. He turned around and fired it in. I'm like well this is the only time hes gonna score on a friday night ( take that how you want)

I wish I could have won a this game for them but I honestly had no D whatsoever. There was a breakaway about every 5 seconds... hahah

You lost but you know what man you played hard. I play on some many different level teams and even when I have a awsome game or whatever some of them higher level players dont appreciate jack squat. Even if you got dusted or whatever the players you had maybe for that game felt more confident knowing that you were out there playing really hard and they could maybe enjoy themselves more becuase they see you stopping more shots then there usual goalie.

The game that I stated about the opposite goalie didnt have the nicest gear or wasnt all that not that im anything special but the team I played for the team I played for and against wa sstaring at me in warmups and the other yelled" woah this is gonna be a war" haha. I took that as a compliment.

Your right, I played my little heart out. Every Friday night is open hockey and I get to play with "semi-pro" players. They asked me to join there team a couple weeks ago so I think I might accept. I'm still not sure what to do... I know I'm good but I'm not so sure I'm THAT good! I might join a Silver or Gold team? hmmmm

Its great covering for other teams that are terrible. For starters its like a free practice but im usually dead after more than 60 shots. Also its funny to hear them apologize for not playing D or saying that you are awesome and they are terrible , i always just smile and tell em that they arent bad at all. The best is getting asked to join the team lmao. I have played on atleast 2-3 terrible teams trying to help em out after being asked to play for em. Its even better when a good team needs you.

so to the person contemplating joining a better div ... if you were asked than do it because it means your with out a doubt ready... well atleaste to help that team out.
