From what I hear, the wait isn't too bad anymore, either

Flopper.....I too had my eye on those pads they lool nice and I aways love the Jenpro Codura mix.....helps with the weight, plus the durability is great on them....any Battram pad is really going to have the same quality as the next. The 1000's are also a good value to fit my budget....The question is, are they going to be protective enough for NCAA D3 Hockey.

Thumbs up

I have the 3450 glove and the roller pads (all cordura) and the quality of both are fantastic. I suggest you talk to Scott and tell him what you are looking for in a pad and the price range you are looking for. He did some mods to my pads that were upgrades from the advertised roller pads and didn't charge me extra. Battram builds quality gear and each piece is custom made so I'm sure he can offer numerous suggestions that will fit your budget. Enjoy. I suggest looking at better landing gear. Possibly like his Cyclones. That will make the 1000's a much better pad. If you are playing college hockey check your rules for gear size. I know my trapper would be illegal by NHL standards so make sure you let Scott know what your size restrictions are. You may have to remove the side cheater to meet the legal requirements. Good luck.

Talking Battram Pads

The best thing to do is ask Scott. He will give the best assessment of whether the pads you are considering are suitable for your level of play. I can tell you that you will not be disappointed with Scott;s quality. I have Battram pads, gloves and upper body pads and the quality is second to none.
