Smile Pics Of People playing in Brown Gear

Hey folks, as a fan of John Brown, I am wondering if anyone has pics of them playing in John Brown hockey Gear or any pics of their gear alone. If you do, could you pm me with what you have for pictures, and what gear are in them. I am thinking of putting together an album of pictures.

Thanks all.

Jason

The only pic I have w/ my old Brown pads - I think they were 280's - "custom" graphic made by me and a can of spray paint. Wore those suckers for about 7 years.

The pants are 906's as well, still have those

BTW, The Brown logos had to be removed to comply w/ league rules.

bc30 what level are you playing in that pic? The reason I ask is because I notice you have a catseye, the jerseys look to be high quality, and there are actually spectators in the stands!

Gort, That's my one, and so far only, pro game, dressing as an emergency backup for the Hartford WolfPack (AHL) in Feb 2000 - They won the Calder cup that season, which I think is no concidence

A tremendous experience all around - I practice w/ them occasionally when someone is out, and went to 3 days of training camp this year to even out the numbers, but there's nothing like a real game

I think I hold my own, but no one is in danger of losing their job because of my performance.

bc30 that must be so cool I wear a John Brown C/A and pants but they are fairly old but still really protective. I'd like to get new John Brown equipment if I had the money

That's so awesome. You got to live the dream, albeit for one game.

If I ever make it that far I'd be so stoked.

This is off topic but still about Brown equipment. I found some like 5 year old catalogs of ocean hockey supplier they used to sell 38 inch brown pads. How come you never see or hear about them anywhere, and not even on ebay.

I love how light and flexible the 206s are. When I purchased the 206’s I really debated between picking up either the 206s or 287s. I was dealing with two knee injuries last year and half. A inflamed bursitis in my right knee and a partial tear and stretch of my MCL in my good left knee.

I tried Fusions, Vaughn 7000, 5500, Miller CM8, and Brown 206 & 287’s. I was wearing 36” Boddam Air Elites which were almost 9lbs a pad. I loved the features of the pads but I felt I need to reduce the weight of my pads.

My 36” 206s weigh 5.5lbs a pad. Great improvement on leg speed and I like to think a reduction in stress on my knees. However I was taught how to properly develop and strengthen the muscles in my legs at this time which has also helped in the improvement of leg speed and recovery

I liked the lighter weight of the 206s but wanted the knee locks of the 287. The 206 is a very basic pad when it comes to inside knee padding and knee locks but the 287 are a little heavier and not as flexible. In the end I thought I could improve on the 287’s knee locks and landing gear and add them to the 206s myself.

Can you tell I will never be able to get use to a box pad? I want the rotation and features of the box pad but I need the feel of the older style pads wrapping around my legs and the give around the edges of the pad.
