Rent a goalie- Calgary
Has anyone dealt with Rent-a-Goalie in Calgary? Some of their prices look OK.

Why would you need to be renting a goalie?

They have the same type of thing in Edmonton. Basically Sqeal, it is a service that provides goalies at the last minute.

Hell, I've been doing that (unwillingly) for the last 5 years!
:::My Phone rings:::
Hello?
Hey- Bernstein, we need a goalie for tonight, can you play?
Sure. What time?
Uh... Can you be here in 15 minutes?

Obviously, in my roller leagues if the goalie doesn't show-up, then that team must forfeit.
The main building I play in has 2 rinks.
Last year I was exiting the locker room to play on the "South" rink and someone from the "North" rink approached me and asked if I could be their goalie because they were in playoffs and they had no goalie and obviously they didn't want to forfeit the playoff game.
I explained I'd love to help but I start my own game in 5 minutes on the other rink.
The guy further explained that there was a catch- see, the team they were playing against ALSO didn't have a goalie so I just needed to walk on the rink for 10 seconds, say I was this guy's goalie and the other team would then lose by forfeit.
Ahhhhh... that I can do! So I walked on the rink. Well, the other team's captain saw what was going on and he came up to me and offered me 5 bucks if I'd "jump" over to his team. The guy who first asked me offered me 10 bucks to stay with him. The other guy talked to his teammates and collected 20 bucks for me to jump over. That offer couldn't be matched by the first guy so I took the 20 bucks, jumped over and gave the second team the win.
20 bucks for 10 seconds. Heh, it was worth the first guy being pissed off at me!
