THis was discuss in an other topic but I tought it would be interesting as a topic on it's own.
I bought my first mask in 1993 and the brand was Protechsport. I change the mask because the foam was dead and I won a new one in the hockey news. I tought that Protechsport didn't exist anymore. I was doing a research to know who's making the KOHO masks for the pros (Lefebvre don't do them anymore himself), I found that Protechsport is doing them here in Montreal!
The guy is Michel Doganieri. In his shop he has all the pro moulds. All the guys in the NHL who wear Koho/CCM masks are working with Michel Doganieri.
The best thing is that he's still doing masks for the general public. You can buy a mask made for the pros, using the moulds. You can have the Thibault model, Giguère, Brodeur, Théodore, Luongo and also Belfour (he must have wear a Koho in the past but not sure, now he's wearing a Warwick).
The price depends on how you want the structure done. All fiberglass is cheaper but heavyer. All kevlar is more expensive but lighter and protecs more.
"In house" you have the paintshop, so you're mask is built and paint at almost the same place.
I'm not working for them! It's just that I had great service from Michel Doganieri in the past. If you're interested, just give him a call or a e-mail and tell him you eard about him on a bulletin board from David.
