i'm getting the 580 break, don't know how common that is. since all of the orders at this point are custom orders, i'm guessing that added size on the thigh rise is common too.

not typical, but my mods were:

name embroidery
sizing (35+1)
colors

pads double boot strap, and extra knee lift
blocker- stock
glove- no nash, extra inch added to overall pocket depth, 580 style break.

I think thats it, if I remember more ill post.

It supposedly slows down the velocity of the puck, because of course it'll help you see it better But the negatives include it retains water pretty well, and lets face it, it messes up the look of the glove. You got your nice little color scheme, then all of a sudden BAM you got a huge patch of tanned, albeit comfy feeling stuff right in the middle of your beautiful glove.

I don't understand how anyone could even have any clue on mods they may need for a pad that they more than likely haven't even seen or held in there hands.

The obvious when ordering like size, colour and a knee stack here or there I can see and would do as well, but how can anyone possibly need to get or even know if they need mods on a pad they have never tried?

Do people really think little things like adding a little clarino here and stuffing some HD foam there will make them a better goalie?

I was waiting for someone to point out this simple fact. Getting mods on a pad that you've never used is a little silly. All you need is the correct size and then maybe the colors you like. Now if one foot was much larger than the other or something like that then I could understand a few different mods. Even the 2 boot strap thing.

I suspect RBK/Lefevre mods will be available to the same extent, and possibly less, than Koho/Lefevre mods were.

Adding an inch or two on the thigh, adding a second boot strap or extra lifts, picking colors and embroidering your name will be pretty much it on pads.

choosing 590 or 580 break on gloves, clarino instead of nash, and (maybe) T length.

Blockers - pretty much zero.

You want mods that make no difference other than being able to brag about them here, call Scott.

You want RBK, buy RBK - but don't expect RBK to go out of its way to make your pads feel like your Velos

If it's a mod a hundred guys want, it will be a regular feature of the pad soon enough - if it's a mod one guy wants, it a pain in the arse.

These were simple mods, that I have chosen based on past sets I have used, and comparing them to the 590/580s.

I did not make up any "crazy" mods, just simple things that I am used to.

what is wrong with that?

Wyatt, nothing was wrong with the mods you asked for, those are all things that would make you comfortable and I am sure you are used to having. What I am referring to are people looking to make structural or internal changes without even having tried the pad yet.
