Here's me in my vintage mask, in homage to Chief's goalie Denis Lemieux.

Sweet!! I love the headdress design--very much like Darren Pang's classic, which has always been one of my favs...

Not trying to be an ***, but wasn't Hackett with the headdress mask?

Edit, I found a pick of Pang with a headdress mask, (Goalie Archive, but I would assert that Hackett was the one who made it famous......)

The Evolution of My Mask Design

Here is my latest electrical tape design. I had a few months on my hands due to my left knee meniscus surgery so I got inspired by some of Jusso Riskman's and Alex Auld's lid.

Blank Canvas (Protechsport):

First Design, based on Kirk McLean:

Thanks to kicksave for the shell and his patience in getting all the little details right!
very cool... i'd love to see some action pics of that thing. tough to see very well in that dark picture. do you plant to paint it?

You would assert incorrectly

Pang's mask is in the HOF - all other headdress masks are pale imitations of the original.

Riksmann's lid is actually a Hextall tribute.

You did an awesome job with your tape design, you should totally get that painted!

Thank you for the compliment. I would get it pained and have a great original design in mind, but the $$ is an issue. Hard to justify paint with the wife, especially when I can do that with electrical tape and an exacto knife.

You know you're getting old when other goalies are paying tribute to goalies you grew up admiring. I didnt think Hextall was all that old, but in hindsight it has been a good number of years since he last played.
