Contact cement. Works just fine and a lot of mask makers use it.

"this picture shows how the glove slightly bubbled outwards. It is much more extreme when flexing the glove. And actually affected closure by pushing into the thumb portion of the glove when closing it."
My 7.8 does the same thing, but bubbles outward at the break, and i think it is hindering my closing ability. any suggestions?

To the people who have added the rubber mat padding to your c/a, what adhesive did you use?

Where can i get a calf wing re-covered???
im currently using brian's amaxx pads. the calf wing comes with a removeable wedge. i really like the way the wedge feels when down on the ice, but the wedge is currently covered with a canvas material. id like to get them recovered with jenpro for obvious reasons. however this is to big of a project to do meself (there are strap guides that would need to be reattached and simple mods ive done in the past ive butchered!).
id like this done right. but dont know where to go. i live in buffalo, ny. so anywhere within reason id be will to go to.
any suggestions???
thanks!!!

I'm with kohomcm, here. I'll have to post pictures of what she did to a Koho 580 blocker I got on the 'bay. She has my Vorteks now. I'll definately have to post her work on those.

Hey I have a pair of RBK X-Pulse 6.0 that are 35" tall. The pad already comes with a top strap that comes from the inner top of the pad down behind the knee and connects next to the one that hold my knee in the knee lock. I don't have a very wide butterfly and I find that the pad above my knee just juts straight out, and would be of much more use if I could break the material so that it came in such as the Velocitys, or the Turco Break RBKS. The pads only have 1 break in them below the knee, and my idea is to put another break in the pad above the knee. I am not sure what materials are used in these pads, and am hesitating about opening them up until I know what I am dealing with. My first idea was to actually just force the material to bend at the point I wanted until the material that holds the pad stiff actually breaks at that point. After that Id ad another break in the outter roll to match where the new break in the pads is.
What do you guys think? and do you have any helpful incites on it?

Alright, so theres like 5 threads on painting/coloring pads and i decided to post in this one because its the most recent. i just got a new r8 catch glove today and Tps screwed up my order and instead of doing White/silver/white to match my pads and blocker, they did white/silver/black which has some black but not a lot. My question is what is the best way to color in the black area and change it to white without screwing up the glove or making it look bad. My only idea was to use white sharpie(I don't even know if they make white sharpie) but if they did or a white paint pen i could use that. my other idea which wouldn't look so great would be to use white hockey tape and that way if i don't like it it could easily be removed.
I just posted that in a different thread about painting pads and figured it wouldn't hurt to put it in this thread and possibly get more replies.

From my experiance reading posts on this topic, painting your pads is an absolute no no ... and going from black to white would be even tougher. I bet if you found a way to stitch on white cloth over the black it would turn it better .... just an idea

Cushion foam in kit bag
Hi guys,
I play inline and wondered why my kit bag was always leaning to one side when I was pulling it from the car. I realised my skates always seemed to end up on one side. I got over this by covering the bottom of my kit bag with 3 inch deep cushion foam and cutting out 2 skate & my mask areas. Now my skates are always in the centre of my bags and my mask is safe along side them. Sounds daft but really works well.

I am hoping someone here can help me in my quest. I live in So Cal about 40 min away from LAX. I was told of someone in that area that can re-palm blockers. I have tried searches on the Internets and the Yellow Pages and have come up empty. The only other info that I can remember is that he used to work on Jamie Storr's equipment and another ex-King's goalie equipment. I know this is a long shot, but can someone help me. I cannot go weeks without my blocker by sending it out through the mail.
TIA

In that case get a needle and thread and learn to do it yourself. It really is not hard to repalm a blocker. You can buy a palm from block the puck, nash or PAW.
