okey so I had some old thigh boards that were torn and pretty useless anyways...
friend of mine was looking at my pants and noticed the panels on the sides for extra blocking... I said I could put those on his if you wanted...
materials:
-old thigh boards
-long tube sock (black is what I used)
-2 (2 also needed in precaution) shoe laces
-screw driver (to poke holes don't use knife, you'll see screw driver is easier)
okey steps:
1. cut open the thigh boards remove padding foam, cut in three even pieces (per thigh board...6 total pieces)
2. stack the three pieces and stuff them in tube sock and tie off end
3. poke 6 holes thru the sock and layered padding
4. poke 6 holes thru side of pants
5. run shoe laces thru holes of sock/padding and lace them to the pants..... tie them on tight...(one lace each)
6.
just as precaution: I then took another lace to run ove the top of the padding use as webbing to make sure to stayed no matter what (2 more laces needed... 1 per side)
then put pant shells back on pants... look sleek .....and do help
photos to come of finished product..got idea from
