Yeah I had a look at the instructions and video already (thanks for posting the vid btw) The one thing I couldn't work out was where to buy quality red straps. I'll have a closer look at past posts to see if I missed something.

added side panels to friends pants...

okey so I had some old thigh boards that were torn and pretty useless anyways...
friend of mine was looking at my pants and noticed the panels on the sides for extra blocking... I said I could put those on his if you wanted...
materials:
-old thigh boards

-long tube sock (black is what I used)

-2 (2 also needed in precaution) shoe laces

-screw driver (to poke holes don't use knife, you'll see screw driver is easier)

okey steps:
1. cut open the thigh boards remove padding foam, cut in three even pieces (per thigh board...6 total pieces)

2. stack the three pieces and stuff them in tube sock and tie off end

3. poke 6 holes thru the sock and layered padding

4. poke 6 holes thru side of pants

5. run shoe laces thru holes of sock/padding and lace them to the pants..... tie them on tight...(one lace each)

6. just as precaution: I then took another lace to run ove the top of the padding use as webbing to make sure to stayed no matter what (2 more laces needed... 1 per side)

then put pant shells back on pants... look sleek .....and do help

photos to come of finished product..got idea from GREAT SAVES - Hockey equipment repair, Goalie Equipment Repair,Skate Guards, Hockey Equipment, baseball equipment repair,Baseball Equipment, lacrosse equipment repair

Does anyone have any scrap nylon that they don't need? I'm going to take apart my knee stacks (6 total, 3 on each pad) and use a glue gun to glue the foam stacks together to make a ghetto knee block. I just need some nylon because I won't be able to use the nylon that came with the knee stacks as they are to small to cover the knee block.

Could anybody tell me how long and how difficult it would be to skate lace-ify a double T glove? I just got some 120 laces(long enough?) and would like to to it this week when I have nothing to do.

Thanks
Reid

Well I made a ghetto ass calf wedge to see if I would like calf wedges. It's made out of the knee lock foam I took off my pads and LD45. It's about 1" thick, but it probably compresses to about 3/4" when I have my weight on it. I'm not sure if I wanna keep it as it feels a little weird but I'll leave it on for the first few games of the season to see what happens.

You didnt search very well then! That is if you are talking about just a pocket

How to Re-lace your Glove by Goaltendah1

If you are asking about an entire glove then you need to be more specific. Relacing an entire glove is very time consuming and there is quite a large room for error. As Scott Battram states

"It can be done, but I seriously wouldnt recommend doing the entire glove unless you are really comfortable and confident with your ability! Doing the outside scoop part of the glove is easy, but if you want to do the entire glove, it would involve taking it all apart."

Has anyone ever re-laced an entire snag??

You are in Quebec I am sure there are hockey stores that can relace an entire glove for you. If that is what your questions is.

Seriously its not hard. I just relaced a velo I just got while watching TV. Goaltendah explains it very well. I could not get actual lacing cord quickly so I used side wall string. The kind used in lacrosse sticks. I haven't had any issues. A stringing baseball needle saves you allot of head aches

I guess same basic procedure, you just have an extra couple of loops.

I've relaced my 7k glove a couple of times thanks to that video. It's honestly not that hard. Once you get the pattern down it's pretty simple. On my sport gold 7k glove I got pink skate lace on one side and baby blue on the other
