I love them, but next year I will change 2 things.

Because I play mostly beer league, the ice is not allways fresh(no flood between periods) so you get quite the build up of snow, I will be eliminating the little "Traction bars" on the inside leg pads. I feel that they really hinder my lateral movement when in the butterfly and I don't see any significant gains in mobility when I play Senior AAA on clean ice.

Second, I will add some to the thigh rise. This is mostly just because I'm old and can't get the old knees as close together as I once could.

Theese are just the things I've noticed. Depending on what type of hockey you play you may want to concider the first point or maybe not.

I play Midget hockey. This year I'm Midget 16U A but next year I hope to play for a AA or AAA team. I dont know how to take the whole traction bars. Should I keep them are customize them so I don't get them. Nurminen I believe has the V2 pads with the traction bars but with V1 graphics.

I was determined to get this to work. Sorry about the overload on this thread. But I finally figured it out!

goaligrl79 - Any reason why you didn't go with the Sher-Wood gear? It looks like the team is sponsored by them and the other goalie is wearing 9980s. Sher-Wood is one of the leading companies for women's equipment.

If I remember (without looking it up), she's a freshman, and maybe the school won't buy you goalie gear right away. Maybe they wait to see if you make the team and get you gear for the next season. Or maybe they don't pay at all, who knows?

Last time I spoke w/ her she's interested in getting new gear but she doesn't get it for free. Hence her still using the gear she used in high school. Last I checked she wasn't real interested in the 'Wood's but ya never know.

Thank you Desi. If I'm indeed getting Sher-wood like my coach tells me, I will get them in the Spring or early next fall. He can't afford me!

I wouldn't even say were sponsored at all. My coach has a hook-up with some one at Sherwood. He has alot of connections.

If i want new gear it has to be Sherwood otherwise its my $$. My pads are so old and small, i'll take anything. I'm waiting on the new Sherwood line, Cerberus I think they are called. The ones that the Detriot goalie, McIntyre were wearing. Who knows, i may not get a choice in the Sherwoods i want, i dunno. The other goalie has the womans, 9980 and other other goalie who is red-shirting had the same thing as well, same colors. Which is boring. But I want all red and silver pads, those would look hot.

PS. I love my glove though. All my equipment is nice and broken in, its the only equipment i;ve ever really used, so it will be hard parting with it.

I need to get a new pic of me wearing my gear.. but until we take team pics later this month, I'm not sure when that will happen, so here you go.

Roloson pro returned bionic leg pads and I got them autographed by him during the playoffs vs. colorado 2 years ago.

I think it might be time to hang those pads up somewhere as a keepsake though.. and because I want to be a gear whore.

Also how do you post a pic onto the body of the message rather than just a link?

Thanks.

USe the Image code which is shown as a little yellow picture of a mountain or something while you are in Edit mode.

Or do it manually by typing after the URL while in Edit mode.

VAPORDEUX6038,

My Infinity's lighter than Vaughn 5500. (Infinity is 37", Vaughn is 34")
But My Vaughn is 3(or 2)years old.
so it is not sure.

I think that Infinity is smilar to Fusion.
I feel Infinity is so light, and I Like them very much.

wlgusl, you got 2 new sets of pads in the pan of 8 months? Or you were just playing with your old gear even though you already had newer gear?
