I know to each is there own but I watch so many young goalies who do what they think the pros do and are worse as it hinders them so much.
Sizing differs for all brands but RBK runs tall.
I guess goalies now days dont need to invest is good pants as you cant see them anyway..

Agreed. I tried on 34+1 PS2's and they felt huge compared to the 35 ps1's i wore. I ended up going with 36+2 eagles, and they were probably more like a 33+1/2 RBK and i'm around 6'3 as well.

well I got traded to Wayway just before christmas. we finished in 2nd and playoffs are about a week away. im 19 so im thinking i know what i'm comfortable playing in. obviously I wouldnt buy gear if i didnt think i could perform in it. Ive always had bigger gear and i move and play fine. the only thing i had to get used to was the overall height of the pad. ive used 36 inch kohos for the past 3 years now so the only new part was the +1 and its working out. honeslty who cares if I want to wear bigger gear, why does that bother you? maybe spend less time worrying about how big gear might hamper my play and worry about your own game. if you are actually curious as to how they feel or w/e thats fine and i'm sorry, but to tell me my pads are "too big" for me is kind of ridiculous.

That is the nicest set of vorteks I have seen yet. I was wondering if they would use two different colours on the swoosh! Very cool and unique.

Thanks guys, will definitely do a review when I have enough time in them.
Vanniek, those SWD sticks are sah-weeet! If Darth Vader played goal that would be his sabre.

Those vorteks are sweet.. Love the different colored swooshes.
Keepon. Im sorry I directed it all tword you it. I am just tired of seeing younger kids hindered by huge looking gear and not being able to move cause guys like you and other higher players they look up to see you in it..
Also my pads were tall when they were new but I knew they would shrink and break in and do not go any where near the top of my thigh when I am standing.
But I suppose to each is their own sorry if I offended you with my opinion.

no problem. not offended at all. i just wanted to state that I wasnt some young kid trying to buy the big gear to look like my fav goalie.. i know i'm a smaller goalie but I play big and consider myself to be quick. like I said ive always used gear this size, just never had the +1 so that was the only thing getting used to.

Just got my pads in...waiting on my C/A and pants that are due in sometime this week.
anyways, idk what to do, I'm positive that my Right pad(left looking) is smaller than the left by at least an inch...i don't know if i'm paranoid or if the pad has been in a box for too long.
here's a shot of them

one does look smaller, but it could be the angles or from being in a box like you said. i would measure the pads with a tape measure to be sure.

Got a pair of new gloves, Kipper V1 and 12.8 blocker. The best catcher I have had and the blocker feels very nice and protective too. Get on the ice tonight so after that I can tell more.

Hey bcamp,
It looks as if all that is going is that the one boot (at the break) is broken in more than the other.
Compress the other and then compare.
