Thanks. Van Halen all the way! I had her do the stripes with the black and gold, and I got to thinking... if I could change the VH logo to a TH logo ( my initials ) that would be sweet.

Here's the two side by side:

I just got my 994 set after exactly 8 weeks from the time I ordered them. I am VERY pleased with how they came out. I copied Orychock994's design but changed a few things. I am going to go to stick time in a hour or so and try them out. I will post my review next week. It's Christmas in August woo hoo.

Thanks, I am liking them a lot right now. I got 36+2 my atk is 18.5.

The quality is amazing compared to my last two sets of pads which were Eagle infinity ( off shore) and the set I just bought which were Koho 700 senior, also off shore.

jcw_jr, when you ordered the pads, did you just ask for butterfly strapping? because that's the same strap/buckle setup I want if I ever order some Velo's but I've heard that you need to be really specific with Vaughn or else they won't know what you're talking about. I've heard that particular setup refered to as butterfly strapping in the past but I was never sure whether or not it was a consumer term or a Vaughn term.

I'm also wondering where you ordered those bad boys from..

Murtel, yeah i just told Vaughn that I wanted butterfly strapping. They will then place the buckles where the are on mine. If you want both straps running through the knee block, then you will have to tell them that.

I ordered them from Delaware Valley Hockey Supply.
