In 85 Pelle Lindbergh and Michel Dion wore theirs and I doubt that most people here play against people that shoot as hard as the NHLers that they faced even then, unless they are pro. How many people here are pro? I am definatly not.

Sure, Pelle is dead but it was his driving that did it.

Sam St.Laurent and Warren Skorodenski wore theirs till 88 - 90 in the NHL..

They are alive as far as I know.

It really isn't that bed getting hit in the face in one of these. Try it

Most of the people I play against do not shoot close to as hard as people did in the NHL in 1988.

Graphite sticks and therefore - lack of shot control do make it difficult though. I play against people I know on both ends.

If it were beer league I would but not as often.

Hardest I ever felt it when I got hit was in my HM30. Right on the chin dead stop.

Go with a double, or even tripple cup!

I play with a warrior lacrosse cup with compression pants (sold as a hockey player cup here in Sweden for some reason). Over that I have a regular goalie cup, a cheap TPS one, which I actually pimped with another cup inside. Just to be sure.

It works great. Not too bulky and I can barely feel anything when I get hit.

New cowlings, CCM with thrust steel and rubbed off logos. (Graf cowlings were bent, got warranty cowlings but decided to go this root.)

New twig.

My team is also paying for 12 custom RBK sticks too, which are on the way.

Well of I read it right it was Dave Dryden and he cut up a Harrison mask himself and welded up his own cage. As for Tony "O" and Ed it was to protect their glasses.

I don't believe Tony or Ed wore glasses while playing. Contacts maybe.
