Similar to an SK2000? Coming out in 2006? I think it has already came out in the 70's. I would think a company like Bauer wouldn't stand for this. He's lucky I don't own Bauer. Sean..Hope I wasn't out of line here, just hate it when things are copied!

Well Boxer, you read what I have to say about sarcasm in mask threads. So what you are saying is that this mask is either copied or re-released?... Anyway, do you think you could supply pics of the 70's version? Guess it'd be tough to find one, but it would be nice for everyone to compare.

"All mask makers copied something.
Sincerely, Greg Harrison"
If they wanted to do something, then they would have to go through Warwick, Rey, Winwell and all the smaller mask makers who have made versions of the helmet.
Otherwise, there's a jealous agenda.
Funny how it's always the same people coming back to the same story all the time.
Sorry, Sean. That's all I'll say about it.
I for one think it looks cool, but I agree. Needs more vent holes on the top. Sine there is no opening for the backplate there's less room for heat to escape. Of course, never having played with a Cooper or any "Clone" of one, I can't say with any certainty that heat would be a problem.
But I doubt Tony wouldn't have figured that in, given how critical people can be about his product.
Also, nice to see that he went back and re-addressed the Hasek style cage. Although, I'm still working on him to make an SM-90 styled version of it. Now that would be a great cage!
Well, ok. I'll say one more thing...

Hate when things are copied, eh? Who's name was on the "copied" mask?

I have one of those helmets.
I think it is a COOPER SK2000, or something like that. It is really ugly!
I will try to post a photo tomorrow.

Thats one slick looking combo! Good job Tony!
I wore an SK2000 back in the 80s... It at one time was the helmet to have at the time. Although, the Cooper SK100 is one I would love to see make a comeback! haha
A simple search will find pictures...but here is a link.

Large size I believe.
Color is green.
No cage.
Still interested?
I'll dig it out of the garage tomorrow and post photos.
I also have another old classic helmet: a Northland Stan Makita model.
The only classic helmet I am missing is a Johnson's air helmet.

Blast from the past! Centurion combo VS COOPER SK2000
Boxer9 made a comment in the thread 'New from Sportmask - Centurion combo ' that is posted below. This is how I would like to handle a comment like this. Here is a thread comparing the Centurion combo VS COOPER SK2000 masks.

SK2000...
It's funny, I used the SK2000 for several years of Junior hockey and never ever considered it to be "unsafe"... Now that I have read all the detractors of the helmet I would never wear one again (in net)...
Tony appears to have a pretty sweet set-up but I still cannot wear a dangler and the fundamental problem of throat exposure (without a dangler) remains...
Nice job T.

Dude,
They don't make the SK2000 anymore, so if you wanted one how would you get it? Not only does this one look a little different it's also made of totally different materials.
Did you hate it when Everyone else copied the Harrison goalie mask?

It's a great option for those who have left the Sk2000 fraternity and went to masks.
I am sure that some will go back.
I am sure it will be a bit more affordable than a Warwick, which whom we should also be taking a look at if we are too say there is something wrong with what Sportmask is doing.
It certainly isn't up my alley, but for those who are I am sure you are excited that there is another company out there that is producing it. It might even get Warwick to drop it's price.

Oddzilla..
Jealous of what? Same stories??? You should know! Sorry if I don't kiss the ground that Tony walks on like you do! I can't stand how dramatic your posts are at times. Sean..that's I will say about Oddzilla.
My point about the Centurion combo is it's a copy of the SK2000. I don't understand how anybody can deny that. Company's put years and a lot of hard work into new and exciting designs. Not for somebody like Tony to come along and steal them and then take credit for it. Look at all of his products. Not once did I bash his Centurion combo, just his morals.

The helmet (not mask ) is an update that a manufacturer has yet to do. Copper is no longer, and people scramble to find the old hats. I think this is a great update to a dated shell.
Sales will show for Tony's products, I'm very pleased with my first product from him, being a Mage II. Not sucking up, but I stand by my purchase, and I am dropping out of this thread, because it stinks like the other "mask wars" saga(s) .
