Be sure to use USPS, UPS will screw you with brokerage fees.

In my case, the box containing the gloves came in freely. They opened the box the pads were in and estimated a 200$ value . This box came in two days later. I had to pay GST + Québec TVQ + small brokerage for a total of 37$ cdn.

Same thing happened to me when my gloves arrived. I paid the exact same charge too. On a side note, after two games and some stretching at home, the glove is perfectly broken in. No real effort req'd to open or close it, and it feels great during games. As for the blocker, it feels even better, due to the 'XL' sized palm I asked Pete to install. The balance and weight are perfect. I could not be happier w/ these gloves!

Smith review |pads 7 months use|gloves first week of use

Check out my review thread linked above..

I just took some year and a half pics, but haven't had time to post them up.. I'll get to it one of these days.

-In regards to the pasting into word and sending to Pete not working.. I've found that screenshots pasted into word are HUGE in file size and I'm sure Pete's mail server bounces those attachments. Or he doesn't have word.. Use MS Paint to paste your selection into, it will be a lot smaller. On a mac.. not sure.. clipart or something? iclip? :P

Rotation issues

I've ordered a set of Smith 1000's (my second Smith purchase). Are there any rotation issues with this model? Is so, how should I wear them?

When I got mine I just removed one of the knee stacks from each pad, tied a bit of slack in the toe ties, and they rotated perfectly the first time on the ice. I wear the knee lock strap pretty tight, but all the others are pretty loose.
