Is Smith good if you want mods?

How much extra does the charge for custom graphics?

He is just awesome my gloves are great!
and my custom waffle graphic blocker was no upcharge.
I think pete will charge depending on what type of graphic.
he is a great guy .. shoot him an email with your idea for graphic
and he could price accordingly.. i cant say enough good things about smith gear!

check out my past post for pics!!
love my gloves!

Jerry, I haven't measured them yet, that's just the sizing that Pete recommended. Compared to my old Miller 34" pads, my Smiths tower over them (the Millers are more broken in and have a more defined 'S' curve).

My FTK is 21" and I'm 5'11".

I admit, I was skeptical about the sizing until I tried them on. My knee is placed perfectly in line with the middle knee roll. The knee lock wraps right around my knee. To me, that sounds like a perfect fit.

The big difference is how high up on my thigh they come. I don't think they're obscenely tall, but it's going to take some getting used to. And the big bonus is that I can now close the five hole.

Ryan

4 weeks vs. August, plus I didn't feel like using my old Bionic. I'll either sell the Vaughn in a month or hold on to it as a "spare".

Do smiths and V2s feel EXACTLY the same, or are there minor differences? Are the 4000s worth 875 vs the 725 for the 3000s? Does the adjustable thigh rise do any good? What is the wait time, on average? I haven't paid any attention to Smith until now and I need some info. I'll be ordering some of these (4000) or V2s within the week.

wait time for me was about 12 weeks. i know pete is high demand right now in part to this thread. I didnt order the pads this go round just gloves. But i would assume 12 weeks for pads as well.
In my opinion well worth the weight.
check out the review section about Barron's Smith pads..
cheers
Jim

Call Pete. every time i have spoken with him he is always very helpful and knowledgable. Wait time for me was 12 weeks ( done in less than 2 days!! ) for pads, glove, and blocker. I got 4000's with 2000 graphics.

New Smith pads are on their way. A week earlier than scheduled. Solid sideroll, 32"+4", 11" width, fully square thigh rise, nylon straps/quick buckles, no logos, modified graphic.
