The face of the pads i get, I would have too. But the sides? I never could figure thisout, if ya love the pads, why not brag about who made em.

Same reason I want pro logos on Vaughn gear, I'm delusional enough to worry about NHL branding.
If I ever get in the NHL I'll cover the 100k so I can show the Smith logos.

nhl does not allow smith logos? i always wondered why thomas' smith gear didnt have logos on it...crazy

Smith hasn't paid the NHL to allow his logo's on equipment. Every mnfr has to pay the NHL for the right to have their logo displayed on gear used in the league.

The rights are 25,000$ (US) per year for goalie gear to be able to show logos in the NHL. How many sets do you think you'll need to sell just to cover those fees?

okay I just want to clarify something for myself
The 1000 and the 2000 pads are the exact same except for the knee rolls. Looking at RyJ's pads the Knee rolls look simply cosmetic. Is this true?

Per Pete, Yes, the 2 pads function the same with no difference. The 1000 has the knee rolls and the 2000 is flat. It is basically personal preference.
I have the 2000s and love them.
