Look right next to the model # at the top of each page. Pretty much all pads are 875.00, except the 5000 which are 895.00. This is a great price for a truly custom pad, and these pds and gloves are awesome.....My son and I each wear 4000 pads and gloves and have been totally thrilled with them. I think if you read thru this "official Smith thread" from the beginning you will see that there is not a single negative comment about this equipment. I'm assuming you are new to Smith stuff, and if so, I would urge you to take the time to do a little research on it . I don't think you can buy better equipment than Smith, at any price........

^^ What he said

I rock 4000's and love them. If I had some spare cash, I'd buy a new set of 5000's just because they are awesome!

I had a couple questions for Smith owners. How does he work the payment structure? Down payment up front and charge you when it's completed, or all up front? Also how soft are the knee stacks to land on? My previous set of 993s are now too small and I'm landing on the ice with my knee, but even before that the stacks were so hard it made long ice sessions painful at the end.

Come on dudes, help me out here. You all have Smith catchers lying around.

You pay a partial payment up front, then the balance before delivery.

Knee stacks are VERY comfortable and also adjustable. I believe there are 3 cushions inside a little pouch type setup.. I actually didn't even realize it was adjustable until I looked at it closely. You can remove some of the padding to adjust for height and weight, etc.. to fine tune your bfly. I'm a heavy guy, so I left all the pads in there to aid in cushioning when I drive to the ice. My knees are not sore after playing and I've never bounced off the ice with a knee with my smith's. The kneelock works very well to keep it contained and protected.

Thanks. If I can't figure out a way to keep my knee from slipping out on the high side I'm going to order a set of 5000's with the 2000 graphic on them. I'd prefer not to order new pads and save the money but there's only so much bruising my knee can take before it says enough.

Thanks a lot. I'll compare these measurements to my glove. I'm pretty sure it's old spec though.

What page in this thread is the talk about the smith gloves? I seem to recall a discussion about the different generations but I paged back a bunch of pages and didn't find the post. I just wanted to see what generation my glove is.
