Not to mention that Human Wall also posted the wait time he was just quoted on the previous page.

They Arrived!!!
My new Smith pads, blocker, glove and neck guard arrived today (Wednesday).
They shipped Monday. Were sent by Fedex Home Delivery, although mine came to my office. That could have been a disaster. I remember another time someone used Fedex Home Delivery to ship to my office. It took over a week extra to get the package delivered because Fedex Home is not supposed to deliver to offices, and they are a different company from regular Fedex. Fortunately, no problem this time.
I'll post pics ASAP, but it may take a couple of days. I have a game tonight (skating out ) so I may have to wait for tomorrow night to do the pix.

Bring your new gear tonight(hide it) and in warm ups, ding one off the goalie's head, apologize as he goes to the hospital , and tell him you had to try your Smith gear tonight!!! He'll understand. Let's see those bad boys!!!! My first real skate tonight with my new Smiths. Should be lots of beating on me about new gear, can't wait!!!

Seeing all of these posts regarding members receiving their new Smith goalie pads makes me excited to get my pads yet somewhat down at the same time. I placed my order on June 1st (deposit as well) and am still waiting for them to be finished...

You should contact Pete and ask him. There are least a couple of guys here whose orders were after June 1 and have gotten their gear.

I have been in contact with him for the last two weeks. The main idea of my post was that I am still very excited and each day is a struggle . I literally get in from work each day and just run to the computer to see if the email is there indicating that they have been shipped . This is my first set of new goalie pads is roughly 5 years so this waiting period is killing me lol.

Did he give you some kind of indication as to why they were taking so long? It seems odd that people who ordered a week after you would have already received their pads.

I haven't questioned Pete on that yet. I do plan to ask him after I receive the pads though. I would like to receive them before this weekend though as it would be my only opportunity to use them before I leave on a business trip next week.

How long ago did you send him the remaining balance for the order?

Strapping and lead time
Hang in there. I spoke to him at the end of May and indicated what I was ordering, but I think my final colors were sent to him around June 8,9. I guess I'm lucky to have received mine on 10/6. By the way, I used my pads and gloves for the first time last night, and they are just spectacular. I haven't figured out how to strap them quite yet. I have to kind of push them back to square fairly often when they rotate to the right for the right and left..I have the nylon straps, and have the bottom two as tight as they go, which is still a touch loose, and then fairly loose on the way up.Boot strap through middle of skate, snug, not tight. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
I have never had pads which slide like these when doing b/f slides..I'm sure they just get better and better with use.
Good luck to you guys waiting, and as said many times, they are worth the wait, even if the wait kills you!!!

What worked for me was all loose straps including boot through the back of the skate. But the big help for me rotation wise was removing one knee lift, after that they where great.

Strapping can be diffcult, if you have them set up for the "profly" strapping system, I had my 1000's all loose except for the knee lock and the boot straps had about an inch of slack. I also only use 2 knee lifts per pad, but it will take a few skates to get the right set up for you.
Also, check out LOTC's Smith review, he offers some good insight on strapping:
