Only 12 weeks
Placed my order with Pete on Friday... finally for my SP2000's in Black Jenpro, White & Silver Weave with the following:
- Make More Flexible (Thin Profile, similar to Kipper's Velos)
- No thigh board connector system
- SP 4000 thin boot, thin at the toe, thicker at ankle (LOTC Mod)
- 12" pad width at shin (LOTC Mod)
- Sqaure Toe (Like the Cerebrus)
- 33" + 2.5" on the thigh rise
Like everyone else in this thread, wait time is what kills you... and if I am going to decide to go with the matching gloves...

Nice looking pads.
Recently ordered 2000's and have a few questons triggerred by your mods. My order as it stands is stock with me waivering on 11" inch width or not.
What is the flex in a stock SP2000?
What are the pros/cons of the thin boot mod?
Thanks

I put in my order yesterday.
I ordered the 2000's with an 11 inch width.
Pete told me it would be 11.5 and that he
would thin out the inside and in spots for mobility.
I also have a +3 inch thigh rise.
I cannot seem to decide on colors!

Hey Hounsy,
I am not sure on the flex, but I was told by JR (aka Lord of the Cage on the board) that they can seem stiff. And coming from Blockade Pro, I found them far too stiff and after using a set of SP1000's I found the could stand to be more flexible and I really like the C-10's for their thin profile and weight reduction.
JR also gave me the info on the 4000 boot mod, it is for mobility and movement, allowing your skate to contact the ice easier for recoveries. According to Pete's website:
"The uniquely shaped boot profile is wide at the ankle for support and protection. The profile narrows drastically at the toe to allow the skate easy engagement with the ice. The narrow profile enables the toe to be wider on the face of the pad, which in turn will provide increased blocking area."
Hope this helps, if you need anything else let me know.

I do not take credit for any mods done to my pads as they were not original but just to my liking from a couple of years looking at what suits me best.
cwarnar, Thanks for inflating my tires though, LOL. I know you will be happy with what Pete will put together for ya.

For anyone interested in the approxiamate turnaround times, I ordered my SP 1000 pads on March 15th and they are ready to be shipped today! I have nothing new to say about Pete as a lot of people are already aware that he's an outstanding person to deal with.

Well here is the colour combo I have gone with, really like the effect the black bindings has. After mulling it over decided on going with 11", other than that just stock for everything else. Not that at my level of play it would ever matter with pad width and rules but when people ask me if my pads are legal I want to be able to say "yes they are... and I still beat you!"
With the quality of the customizer I feel absolutely comfortable that the pads will turn out as it shows them to be. Don't always feel that way from a customizer.

VQ, are those new stock 3000s, or did you ask for a medial roll. Mine don't have them (they're not my style anyway), but they weren't a part of the 3000 design when I ordered.
