Me too, I bought Chak's set of SP1000's, but either way I would've ended up in Smiths, just now I get them a little cheaper than brand new, and no wait time!! WOOHOO, once again, the GSBB comes through for me.

I may be broke now, but damn is it a happy kind of broke.

I wouldn't go with either. The mixed look is crappy looking in my opinion.

Potvin - Awesome looking pads!!

I'm wondering why people are all about leather straps? They are hard to replace and annoying to deal with... Pete's nylon straps and clips are awesome! They never need adjusting... and if something were to happen, they can be replaced in less than a minute.

Now the red and black combo pads question... I like both the red with black accents and the black with red... but mixing is odd... I think people will think you have mismatched pads... but obviously do what you want.

Kneestacks on Smith don't need to be Velcroed, the stracks and locked inside a pouch, therefore, nothing moves and it is completely NHL legal. Well, to make it totally NHL legal, you would need the knee stacks' pouch to be vvelcroed to the kneewing.

Is that what you ment?

Hi Barren.

Thanks for the comments. Your set is very nice and I must admit that it inspired me along with GOL-E navy/black/white and Lefty34 blue/white/silver pads.

About leather/nylon straps. I prefer the "profesional" look of leather straps. Pete convinced me to go with nylon in the knee section for comfort. I accepted because with Pete's strap attachment, I can switch back to leather easily. But now nylon is growing on me and it's more likely that I'll change the leather ones to nylon

Carl

Exactly what i meant. Since on my Xceeds the knee wings Arent velcroed together and that makes walking, skating impossible... So i need the knee stacks pouch ti be velcroed tothe knee wings

ah thanks chakal

I'll reply in english, they perfer it that way here. The pads are really light and totally customizable in size to fit you. You can have as much flex/stiffness as you want. I asked mine to be "crazy, out of control flexible" to really close the 5hole of my narrow butterfly.

Pete told me that he doesn't do the 4000 with the 1000 graphic. You can get the 2000 graphic on the 4000 but not the 1000.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for the reply,

I have another question(scuse my but i d'ont have a lot of information about Smith.):

What is the best Sp 1000 or Sp 4000?

I love the Sp 1000 graphic but the sp 4000 is looking better.
